How do you pronounce Velvaere?
It’s VEL-vair
(Vel like velvet, vair like air.)

And what does it mean?

Velvaere is inspired by the Nordic idea of well-being — a way of living that supports your body, mind, and spirit.

It’s about slowing down, reconnecting with nature, moving your body, and creating space to breathe and reset.

Sunday Evening Hygge Reset
(Hygge is pronounced “hoo-gah” — a Danish word for deep comfort and quiet wellbeing.)

By Sunday night most of us are still carrying the entire week inside our nervous system and dreading Monday morning

The Hygge Reset is an evening designed for the opposite.

Silence.
Stillness.
Warmth.
Space to breathe again.

This isn’t about shutting down.
It’s about switching off the noise so your body can reset.

The evening begins with gentle breathwork and meditation to settle the nervous system. From there you’ll move through our contrast circuit — sauna, hot tub, cold plunge — allowing heat, cold, and quiet to bring your body back into balance.

We close the night with a deeply restorative sound bath, where you simply lie back and let the vibrations wash through you.

No talking.
No phones.

Just warmth, quiet, and the kind of stillness that helps your body remember how to rest.

People often leave feeling calmer, clearer, and sleeping deeper that night.

• Answer “Mom?” 47 times
• Find lost hoodies / chargers / permission slips
• Coordinate schedules

• Clean up after dinner
• Decide what’s for breakfast
• Plan anything
• Fix anything

Now here’s what you ARE going to do:

• Exhale for the first time in months
• Eat meals someone else prepared

I train every weekday at 6am. Want to join me? Need some consistency?
The studio doors are open.
Music on.
Bar loaded.
This isn’t personal training.
It’s not a structured class.
It’s a small, consistent group of women who show up and train.
You can do the posted workout of the day, or do your own thing.
Use the barbell. Dumbbells. Bands. Kettlebell. Bike. Rebounder. Heavy Bag
Train beside me. Train beside each other.

Did you know we offer one-hour spa sessions at Velvaere Wellness?

This isn't about "treating yourself"

It's about being intentional.

Intentional self-care isn’t squeezing in a massage when you’re already burnt out.
It’s choosing, on purpose, to step away before your body forces you to.

One hour.
No multitasking.
No rushing the sauna because you “should” be somewhere else.

You move between the hot tub, wood-fired sauna, and cold plunge slowly and deliberately. You breathe. You let your nervous system recalibrate instead of running on adrenaline all week.

That’s intentional.

You can come alone and be quiet.

Strong for Life is a supportive, small-group training program designed specifically for adults over 50 who want to feel steady, mobile, and strong in their bodies — now and long into the future.

Over 8 weeks, we focus on:
