Crohn's and Colitis Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador

Crohn's and Colitis Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Crohn’s and Colitis Canada is the only national, volunteer-based charity focused on finding the cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis

Crohn's and Colitis Canada believes that the cures for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis will be found. To realize this, we are committed, first and foremost, to raise funds for medical research. We also believe it is important to make all individuals with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) aware of the organization, and educate these individuals, their families, health professionals and the general public about these diseases. In undertaking this vision, we believe:
- The greatest proportion of funds raised must be allocated to research;
- Collaboration with the medical community is imperative;
- Goals must be set and met throughout the organization;
- Participation by volunteers is crucial to our success;
- The success of the Foundation rests on the mutual respect of staff and volunteers;
- The national nature of the Foundation must be respected;
- All volunteers, members, supporters and employees have a right to contribute in an environment that asserts the personal worth and dignity of each individual.

Gabriella was just 11 when Crohn’s disease turned school, sports, and daily life into a battle.

Today, she’s taking back her story through her Go Further fundraiser, “Kilometres 4 Crohn’s & Colitis”. 💪

“Every donation turns into something tangible. Every kilometre represents hope for better treatments and one day, a cure,” she says.

One person can spark a big change. You can, too.
