GARY PAYTON

ORIGIN/GENETICS - Named after the NBA star who played for the Oklahoma City Thunder most of his career and being a fan favourite. The collaborative effort between Powerzzz Genetics & Cookies sifted through many phenotypes until finalizing with the 20th one they examined, bringing you the Gary Payton you see today. The strains making up this beauty was finally settled by crossing Y GRIEGA × SNOWMAN OG. Gary Payton himself even helped market the strain when it first came out.

PHYSICAL FORM - Light, fluffy, & very spongy to the touch. Probably the softest bud I have ever held. A nicely frosted bud with a heavy purple colour covering most of the bud with little flecks of green here & there. The long, bright orange hairs shine off this nug so bright is almost blinding and can be seen from across the room. Is a very beautiful looking bud and may hypnotize you with its beauty while inspecting it. Quite breathtaking.

FRAGRANCE - The fragrance will definitely tickle & ti**le the entire nasal cavity with its spicy, peppery aroma. A deep sniff will surely develop a sneeze or two though the underlying scent provides a sweet herbal tone that helps balance the heavier notes. The tones do come off a bit sharp but it becomes rather pleasant the more time you spend around it.

FLAVOURS - The pepper and spices are sure to make an appearance but a more delightful fruity flavour stands out and gives a nice fresh twist to the overall feel for the strain. It has Cherry Pie genetics within but I'm getting more of a sour raspberry note from it. Either way, it provides a nice flavour with a bit of a bite on the backend. And it leaves your lips tasting sweet & sugary.

EXPERIENCE - Very fast acting, Gary Payton will have you up playing basketball (or whichever activities you take part in) by the time you are done passing around the joint. Euphoric & energetic, it brightens the mood and may spark periodic giggle fits as well open you up socially....to the point where you may find a groove and then never shut your mouth. It keeps you in a joyful, steady groove for a while before the effects start to ease down, and the come down is smooth and provides an easy transition back to normalcy (whatever that is). Gary Payton has gained popularity in some circles and has left nothing but good vibes and reviews from others that have indulged in this beauty.

ORIGIN/GENETICS - Named for the character in The Mandalorian series this knockout was born & bred in Portland, Oregon, USA and is available as a clone only strain from breeders Compound Genetics. Bringing together KHALIFA KUSH × THE MENTHOL has produced a match made in heaven that will leave you blissfully speechless. Also known as Grogu W**d.

PHYSICAL FORM - The faded light green and caramel toned buds don't give off much in the way of beautiful colours, as everything is really pale in colour, but it does have a healthy, thick layer of trichomes that is like a fur jacket covering the bud and it gives it a sort of foggy look. Has a light, airy texture like popcorn and is easy to break down with your fingers.

FRAGRANCE - Very piney. Sharp pine notes attack the olfactory nerves with a fierceness that will make your eyes water. Its sits heavily in the air for some time before settling. A mild minty background scent brings a little softness to the aroma and blends in very nicely (especially when breaking the bud open and having the aroma surround you completely). A very powerful scent with a warm, inviting finish.

FLAVOURS - A very beautiful, smooth flavour that is very easy to fall in love with. Herbal notes with menthol and pine flavours lightly blended in. All with a slightly sweet taste that brings a calm smile to the face. Taking a deep breath after inhaling this strain brings on the effects like after brushing ones teeth. With each inhale, a cool minty feeling fills the mouth and throat and leaves them feeling completely refreshed. The flavour lingers for some time too so you can fully enjoy it.

EXPERIENCE - A slow onset of tingles builds slowly but steadily and is reminiscent of feeling like when your foot falls asleep but throughout the whole body. It calms and numbs the nerves to the point of complete comfort. That perfect "aaahhh" feeling. ORIGIN/ GENETICS - When Runtz came out it took the world by storm. Soon the strain would be crossing everyones lips and highly sought after. Cookies Fam has created a monster by combining ZKITTLEZ × GELATO. Named after the candy due to its heavily fruity qualities that have to be experienced to be believed.

PHYSICAL FORM - This ultra sticky bud will get all over your fingers and they are better broken down with scissors as the grinder just tends to rip the bud apart as opposed to grinding it. On the surface you see a solid lime green tone with sparkly trichomes that shine rays in the light. Underneath brings darker earthy tones with wiry, bright orange hairs. The stickiness of these buds are unbelievable and would be great for making hash.

FRAGRANCE - These buds give off a wonderful fruity tone until you begin to break the buds apart and then the pungent aroma that comes through will have you drooling to the floor. This sweet, candy-like aroma delivers such a strong tropical citrus scent that you can actually begin to taste it in the back of your throat with each sniff. If its any sign of how it is actually going to taste, I'm in for a treat. The scent is so strong, yet so smooth, that it is not overpowering and you tend to enjoy leaning in for multiple sniffs.

FLAVOURS - Loaded with fruity goodness, it blends a plethora of fruity tones from berries to tropical notes that dance off the tastebuds with complete and utter happiness. Sweet berry notes stand out with the first inhale and leaves a thick flavour behind after the exhale that then joins a sour, yet spicy tropical taste that heavily coats the lips. There is a faint sour cherry aftertaste that lingers after all is said and done. A definite winner for those that enjoy the fruity flavours.

EXPERIENCE - With the bright, exciting flavours, I was sure that there would be an uplifting, energetic surge to start off the festivities. But what I got was a body numbing, mellow tingle that started at the head and worked its way through the rest of the body. Once my entire body was numb it then turned to jello as I sat couchlocked, spaced out in another dimension. Feeling no pain and barely acknowledging those around me, it felt as if I was in a heavy trance for what felt like hours. Not really much of a party strain but it does leave you feeling amazing from head to toe. Now.....its time for bed....lol.

By crossing TROPICANA COOKIES × CHERRY COOKIES F3, it has brought us an amazing strain that you are going to want a busload full of and never run out. This is certainly one you just have to try.

PHYSICAL FORM - Bright, beautiful, lightweight nuggets with rays that shine like the sun. When you pull a bud out of the jar, a bright, heavenly aura surrounds it and forces itself to be seen. There are multiple colours that dance off the buds once you get underneath the thick, snowy layer of trichomes. Fresh green tones surround light shadows of violet and pinkish hues while long, wiry orange hairs give off a strong bright tone that definitely stands out above all the colours. Their texture is barely a step rougher than a cotton ball and they fluff up like a cloud when grinded. Very beautiful buds that you can sit and inspect for hours.

FRAGRANCE - An incredibly popular strain in many circles. One of its most talked about traits is the aroma. From the second you open that lid from the jar you are in love. Sweet and sour notes fill the nostrils with a heavy citrus tone and is backed up by a faint cherry presence. This award winning company has over 30 strains in its catalogue and Punch The Cake is one you are going to want to try. Made up of PURPLE PUNCH × WEDDING CAKE, this strain is definitely designed to turn some heads.

PHYSICAL FORM - Big, light, fluffy, purple clouds is what comes to mind at first glance. Or....with the bright, fiery, orange hairs, it could pass off as a furry grape in flames. There is the odd green tint here and there but the purple takes up 90% of the entire colour of the bud. Has a dense, solid body until you grind it and then it has the softest, silkiest texture.

FRAGRANCE - An overpowering diesel aroma invades your nasal cavity like you have your head in a bucket of gasoline. Inhaling the v***r too strongly and you can begin to taste it in the back of your throat. The heavy, sweet diesel tone is joined by an earthy undertone that tries to create some balance but only slightly has any effect at all besides creating a bit of a drier vibe. Lovers of gassy aroma will definitely enjoy this one for sure.

FLAVOURS - For the diesel lovers, sadly, the ride ends here, as the flavour comes out of nowhere and delivers a big surprise. Giving a fruity tone, mainly grapes, you can't help but to smack your lips a couple times after a t**e to capture all the flavour it has to offer. Tastes very much like a grape lollipop with it heavily sugary notes. PHYSICAL FORM - Such beauty. I was momentarily awestruck when first feasting my eyes on this beautiful specimen. Clean, smooth colours and fluffy texture and shape. It was like a beautiful, colourful, fluffy cloud. Your eyes can't focus on one spot. The buds splash colour everywhere you look. It is like looking into a kaleidoscope. Minty green and soft violet tones bounce off of each other while orange hairs are poking out everywhere. All this and then it is heavily sprinkled with trichomes that give the buds an almost frozen frosty look. These buds are very easy to fall in love with.

FRAGRANCE - A strong earthy/nutty scent fills the air with a warm tone. Very soothing, it brings a sense of heavenly calm just from sniffing it. Notes of vanilla undertones bring a sweetness to it that makes it even more enticing and smells good enough to eat. DEATH BY CAKE OG

ORIGIN/GENETICS - Also known as DBC OG, it was developed by crossing DOLATO × OG KUSH BREATH. UD Genetics have brought us a very well rounded strain with amazing results. Their wasn't a lot of info I could find on the breeder but with results like this it looks like the strain was developed with the utmost care. I am eager to see what else I may find from these guys.

PHYSICAL FORM - The outside of the bud has a sharp, sandpapery type texture that seems to act as a shell protecting the soft, gooey stuff inside. When grinded it puffs up like a big cloud and is super sticky to the touch. Deep purple notes & blackened tones make up for most of the bud but there are still lime green spots trying to poke out here & there. Tiny orange hairs sporadically placed makes for brighter tones while the millions of little trichomes are almost microscopic but give off a nice sparkling sheen.

FRAGRANCE - The scent tickles the nostrils a little from its spiciness that resembles pepper mixed with chili powder. Though combined with it is a sweet tropical aroma that really lends a nice blend when combined with the spices. A mild earthy tone brings some nice balance to the whole thing and you may catch yourself with your head in the jar inhaling as much of the scent as you can.

FLAVOURS - The flavour doesn't carry the spice characteristics like the aroma but focuses heavily on the sweet tropical vibe it possesses. A splash of pineapple mango on the tastebuds delivers a sweet delicious taste that has you sneaking another quick couple t**es before passing it on. On the exhale there is an herbal/earthy blend that leaves a smooth finish. The resin left behind on the lips leaves a tropical minty flavour behind making for an overall very flavourful strain.

EXPERIENCE - The effects come on quickly, is strong, & is long lasting, providing a full on experience that is evenly balanced and not disappointing in the least. OREOZ

ORIGIN/GENETICS - Straight out of Michigan comes an amazing eye popping, hair curling, tastebud melting strain that will have you telling all your friends. 3rd Coast Genetics put this wonderful concoction together by blending the beautiful COOKIES & CREAM × SECRET WEAPON. This strain is truly love at first sight, smell, taste, & feel. I have never loved an Oreo as much as I do right now.

PHYSICAL FORM - The majority of the bud is invisible. Blocked by a furry wall of trichomes that give the bud an almost snowball effect. There is a blackened tone underneath but the abundance of trichomes give it a light black tone (light black? Is that a colour...lol). In very tiny areas you can see the odd minty green tint poke through but for the most part you are looking at a bud that looks like a lump of coal covered in snow. The texture has a nice spongy bounce back effect to it and is cottony soft to the touch.

FRAGRANCE - Your nose will get hit with many wonderful scents to drool over. At first you are leveled with an herbal earthy blend that has a strong peppery vibe that makes the nose hairs curl. After the full body of the aroma captures the nasal cavity, a coffee vibe is heavily noticed along with hints of vanilla. A wonderful smell that brings the best of each aroma to blend together. Just heavenly.

FLAVOURS - Even though the name calls for it, I was quite shocked to notice that it tasted like an oreo cookie. Well, it has the chocolate flavour with a creamy vibe to blend in. Though it carries a bit of an earthy tone and on the exhale presents a mild diesel tone with a skunky finish. In the end the chocolatey creamy vibe stands out the most and is what is left behind for a flavour on the lips too.

EXPERIENCE - Already in a state of euphoria from the scent & flavour, the effects lift that euphoria to stratospheric levels. Not a dull moment goes by for the entirety of the experience as the vibe is extremely joyful and completely peaceful. The effects come on very strong and is long lasting that could be too overwhelming for novices. Those with experience with the powerful strains will still maintain function & focus while enjoying the rush of this one. It leaves you feeling on top of the world for the duration and nothing can bring you down. Astounded that it actually carries oreo characteristics, it is a topic of conversation while you are high and some of the theories during conversation can really crack you up. A very fun, relaxing strain that delivers all the goods and has something for everybody.

DOLCE GELATO

ORIGIN/GENETICS - Cookies Fam has developed this little number that is out of this world for trichome production. Keeping the formula secret, Cookies Fam doesn't release the strains crosses to produce this strain. All we know is that it is GELATO × an unknown indica to tickle your senses. Whatever it is, it has brought us another amazing strain with excellent qualities.

PHYSICAL FORM - With the extensive trichome coverage, the buds come off as an almost white colour. The trichomes make the colour tones come in soft with just hints of shades. Underneath the furry layer of crystals lies a faded minty green colour that shows off shaded purple tones here & there. The bright orange hairs shine bright as if they are illuminated and bring a strong depth to the look. The buds feel a little rough like sandpaper on the outside but softens up like cotton om the inside and leaves your fingers sticky after handling.

FRAGRANCE - The scent came as a big surprise to me. I was expecting a light vanilla ice cream type tone and what I got was a walk through the forest. A heavy pine tone blended with a woodsy atmosphere fills the nasal cavity and doesn't let go. There is a floral undertone as well, and when all the scents are brought together with its super sweet tones it smells a little like candy. Forest candy.

FLAVOURS - The floral notes are heavily noticed in the flavour. A very warm taste on the tongue of a sweetened potpourri that sits heavy in the back of throat even after the exhale which brings the pine and woody flavours out as well. The sweet floral flavour sticks to the lips quite well and sits in the back of the throat for quite some time and it provides a soothing freshness.

EXPERIENCE - Dolce Gelato wraps around you like a big fluffy blanket and buries you deep in its warmth and doesn't let go until you wake up the next morning. The effects creep in rather slowly but when they take effect they leave the user couchlocked with a heavy, spaced out stone that numbs & paralyzes you in the most wonderful way. This is the type of strain that can make watching paint dry exciting. It does bring a slightly psychedelic vibe where your eyes can play tricks on you, such as strange shadows or flashes of colour but it doesn't cause any panic. Quite the opposite. Upon coming across anything strange will prove to be hilarious and you can't stop laughing. A perfect mind & body numbing and belly busting strain.

HEALTH BENEFITS - The warm, wonderful effects can put a smile on the grumpiest face and eliminate any stress or depression you may be dealing with and it also eases the anxiety. SNAKE VENOM

ORIGIN/GENETICS - With about 30 strains in their library, including Grape Kush, Lemon OG, & Golden Cobra, little known breeder Moxie 710 is making a name for themselves. Enter Snake Venom, another great strain from these guys by combining their own VIPER CITY × GORILLA GLUE #4. The results are superb and is a great strain for producing concentrates.

PHYSICAL FORM - At first glance the buds looked like burning red hot coals with a coat of fur covering them. A very dark green body that is then blackened on top. The colour comes from the long, wiry, fiery red hairs and the bright yellow notes that are lightly dusting the bud. A few trichomes sparkle here and there and the bud is very sticky...almost as if it is oozing sap. The bud is also very squishy and will flatten if you squish it hard enough (probably end up with sticky resin sticking your fingers together as well.

FRAGRANCE - A highly potent though smooth scent fills the air with sweetened skunky diesel notes that moisten the corners of the mouth instantly. The aroma carries such a strong essence that it can be tasted in the back of the throat with each sniff, leaving a smooth, creamy vibe and the desire to roll one up and smoke one right away.

FLAVOURS - The flavours seem to be already dancing around the tastebuds thanks to the wonderful fragrance it exudes. Though as far as the diesel taste, that's about as much as you get. From the first inhale a sharp, yet creamy pine flavour stings and also soothes the throat and coats the tongue with its powerful flavour. On the exhale, the sweet skunky flavour accompanies the heavy pine tone leaving a bit of a sweet herbal flavour behind. The resin on your lips is covered heavily with this flavour as well and sticks around for quite a while (not that I'm complaining).

EXPERIENCE - A bit of a creeper, the effects are a little slow to get going. Once they do grab hold, a heavy fogginess comes over you and leaves you in a heap on the couch in a total unfocused state (not that you mind at all). Fading in & out, you get moments of clarity that is spent in giggle fits....or eating, and then drawn back into a peaceful haze leaving you in a comfortably numb, lethargic stone with an ear to ear grin to fall asleep to.

ICE CREAM CAKE

ORIGIN/GENETICS - When you get a strain designed by Seed J***y Genetics, you know you are in for some quality flower. By bringing WEDDING CAKE × GELATO #33 together they have brought us an incredibly mouthwatering strain that is gonna sit near the top of your favourites list. This strain is very popular pretty much everywhere.

PHYSICAL FORM - Big, fat, & beefy. Very dense buds that are heavily coated with orange hairs that you would almost think the bud itself was orange. Once you see through the orange there is (at least with my eyes) a type of transparent caramel tint that just slightly glows off of the lime green bud. Speckled with purple notes here and there make this a very beautiful strain to look at. These buds have a very strong, solid body that snap when you break them in half but the insides are all soft and fluffy.

FRAGRANCE - This strain certainly lives up to its name and smells so damn good you could eat it. A very strong, warm waft of vanilla ice cream filled my nasal cavity on first sniff. I swear I even catch hints of cinnamon & ginger in it as well. There are slightly sour earthy undertones that actually blends in beautifully and maintains that mouthwatering scent. I must have spent 10 minutes inhaling its essence before I carried on.

FLAVOURS - The flavour presents a role reversal compared to the scent and delivers a strong, sour earthy flavour to the tastebuds on the first inhale. Though by the time I exhaled, the warm smoke coated the throat and brought the vanilla flavour to the forefront. The cinnamon & ginger is tasted as well but in the end the flavour reverts back to the sour earthy tones each time I moistened my lips to taste the resin.

EXPERIENCE - The effects come on quickly with a wave of euphoria that uplifts the mood immediately and drives a joyous mood for social interaction. This uplifting drive is shortlived though and will bring you to couchlock without a moments notice. One minute you are laughing and chatting with a friend, the next you are on the couch, spaced out, unable to focus on whatever it is you are giggling about (but you are still giggling). It brings a heavy twist to the experience and really numbs all the senses but it presents such a smooth, warm, happy glow that you just sail through the effects without a care in the world, going whichever way the buzz steers you. It really delivers great effects that all can enjoy.
