Every movement is built one small step at a time, and these tiers are the first steps into bringing the Leisure Learning Lab to life.

From a $9 Quiet Rebel pledge to curated experiences and community passes, each tier reflects intention, accessibility, and the heart of what we are creating. Every contribution helps shape this new Centre and the programming, learning, and community spaces it will hold.

We would be deeply grateful for your engagement and for anyone who feels called to take part in this chapter with us.

Calling all practitioners, educators, and community leaders!

We’re excited to invite you to the Play in Practice Symposium on April 15, 2026, a virtual gathering rooted in connection, creativity, and the power of play.

This interactive learning experience is designed to bring people together across disciplines to share ideas, build transferable skills, and learn through doing, because play is more meaningful when it’s shared.

As we prepare for the symposium, we’re opening our Call for Speakers.
We’re looking for folks who bring lived experience, thoughtful practice, and hands-on approaches that centre community, inclusion, and meaningful play. If you have a session idea that reflects these values, we would love to hear from you.

Click the link in our bio to submit your session idea.
Let’s learn, play, and grow, together. ✨

London’s First Creative Sanctuary✨

Pottery, coffee, sensory rest, community.
The beginnings of the Leisure Learning Lab are taking shape in North London.

In this video, Jess shares the vision for these emerging spaces and the kind of learning, creativity, and connection they will hold. The walls are still bare, yet the possibility is already alive.

This is your chance to help shape it with us.
We are inviting our community to name and co-create the micro-spaces within the Lab through our limited-edition Founding Backer Passes on Kickstarter.

You can lock in your 2026 membership rate, add your name to the Founders Wall, and contribute to building a space you would love to return to again and again.

Shape the geography of the Leisure Learning Lab with us!!

As we step into this next chapter, we’re excited to share a first look at our new Centre — still in its raw beginning, still holding traces of its previous owner, and still transforming into the warm, intentional space we envision for our community.

Even at this early stage, you can imagine the circles, conversations, play, and learning that will soon fill every corner. These micro-spaces will become places of connection, rest, growth, and joy — and you have the chance to shape them with us.

When you name a micro-space within the Leisure Learning Lab, you’ll receive a permanent dedication plaque, a private tour once the Centre is complete, and an invitation to our Founders’ Reception — a heartfelt thank-you to those who believed in the vision from the start.

Click the link below to visit our Kickstarter page and begin naming the Geography of the Lab with us.
Thank you for being part of this journey as it unfolds. ✨

A new chapter begins.
This building will become Canada’s first Leisure Learning Lab, opening right here in London, Ontario — and we’re calling all Londoners to be part of this movement. A space built for rest, play, connection, and radical care. A space made possible by the community that has walked with us for the last five years.

Before we open these doors, we have one ask:
Londoners, join the waitlist.
Be the first to know when our Kickstarter launches, how you can support, and how you can help bring this space to life.

It’s been almost five years since I started this work. Years of showing up for community, learning alongside you, growing with you, and witnessing what leisure, connection, and radical care can make possible.

And today, I get to share the BIGGEST NEWS in JJRT’s history!!!!
All these years, all these moments, all the people who have walked beside us — it has all led to this place. This moment.

JJRT is expanding into Canada’s first purpose-built centre for leisure, connection, learning, and radical care.
A space London has never had before. A space shaped by every conversation, every workshop, every drum circle, every shared breath with this community.

This isn’t just my journey — it’s ours.✨
And for the first time in five years, we have one big ask.
We are launching our very first Kickstarter campaign, and this time… we are really asking you.
You — the community who has supported us, believed in us, and grown with us — are the ones who can help bring this centre to life.

If this vision has ever touched you, inspired you, or held you, the next step is simple: join our waitlist.
Stand with us as we build a home for rest, play, learning, and radical care.
A place built with and by the community — for the community.✨

Five years brought us here.
Together, we’ll build what comes next.

It’s back - and we’re so excited to open the doors again. ✨

Earn your 0.65 CEUs and 0.65 PCCs!

Our Introduction to TR Private Practice workshop returns on December 12, and if you’ve been curious about what TR could look like beyond the traditional path… this day is for you.

This continuing education session content is pre-approved by both Therapeutic Recreation Ontario and the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification.

✨ Open to all
✨ Date: December 12, 2025
✨ Time: 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. EST
✨ Location: Virtual (Zoom link will be provided upon registration)

A full day to pause, explore, map possibilities, and get real about the next steps in your TR journey.

This workshop has become a community favourite because it gives TR professionals and students something rare: space to ask questions, imagine new directions, and learn from real practice.

✨And here’s the best part - after completing this introductory workshop, you’ll be ready to join our next-level session, Business Mechanics for TR Private Practice, where you can earn 0.75 CEUs and dive deeper into building and sustaining your own practice.

We brought this course back because so many of you asked for it — and because we believe in growing what’s possible in TR, together.

If you’ve been feeling that pull toward private practice… here’s your sign.
Let’s learn, grow, and reimagine what’s possible in TR together!

Painting by Intuition

Jessie Jones is a London Ontario based Contemporary Abstract Artist. Jessie enjoys creating thought provoking artwork that conjures self reflection and connectivity to nature.

Much of Jessie's work is inspired daily by mood, intentions, femininity and lessons being taught by the universe. Using various mediums to execute her work, Jessie loves to experiment and allow herself to enjoy the process without paying particular attention to the final product.

Jessie uses her artwork as a tool to ground herself and slow her pace down from her otherwise busy lifestyle as a full time Chef, mother of two daughters and Wife.
