Holiday photos with Santa can be a wonderful tradition — but for some children, new settings and surprises can feel overwhelming.
Using priming strategies, such as video modeling, visual supports, or reading a social narrative, can make a big difference in preparing your child and helping them feel confident and calm.

Teen Social Relationships 💬✨

This virtual group combines evidence-based social skills training with strategies from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help teens:

🧠 Build practical, real-world social skills
🤝 Explore and navigate social relationships
💬 Participate in guided peer discussions
🌱 Develop helpful thinking strategies to boost confidence and connection

Led by a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a Registered Behaviour Analyst, this group offers a balanced and professional space for teens to grow socially and emotionally — all from the comfort of home.

Are you finding it challenging to get your child or student to follow new or difficult instructions 🤔?

Behaviour Momentum is a technique designed to boost motivation and, as the name suggests, create momentum to enhance the chances of compliance with tough instructions🎉.
Here’s how it works:

✅deliver 3-5 simple tasks or instructions (high probability requests) quickly in succession. After these 3-5 tasks:
✅ present the difficult or new instruction (low probability request). The momentum built from the initial tasks can increase the likelihood that the challenging instruction will be followed.

Here's an example. Suppose your child is having a difficult time putting on their shirt.
1) deliver 3-5 easy instructions
- where are your eyes?
- touch something blue
- what's my name?
- what's your name?

2) quickly deliver the final, new/ difficult instruction
- put your shirt on

Give it a try at home!

👀 did you know its been 36 days since Behaviour Analysts became regulated health professionals in the province of Ontario? It's true! As of July 1, 2024, Behaviour Analysts are now a part of the 'new' College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario!

What does this mean for our community?

🎯Unlicensed professionals can not use the title "Behaviour Analyst"
🎯No one can make reference to or use a title related to being a behaviour analyst
🎯misuse of the title will result in action taken by the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts

🌟We're proud to share that our entire team has been registered since the onset of the regulation and we look forward to continuing to support our community!
