"Breaking cycles of violence begins with accountability. At Changing Ways, I challenge harmful beliefs, support men in taking responsibility for their actions, and promote respectful, non-violent relationships. Ending gender-based violence requires us to confront the systems and norms that enable harm, while also fostering the personal change necessary to stop violence at its source. I am committed to creating spaces where men can learn, repair, and choose new ways of being. By supporting accountability and healing, I work toward a future where violence is no longer repeated, excused, or tolerated."

Digital violence is real violence. In a world where so much of life happens online, protecting people in digital spaces matters more than ever. This 16 Days, we’re calling for safer, more accountable digital spaces for all! It is important to reflect on how we can all ensure that technology is not used as a tool of control and abuse.

We pledge to showing up with kindness, working with people to help them in a way that works for them, and offering supports that reflect the diverse identities and experiences of those we serve.

Everyone deserves safety, dignity, and care — and we’ll continue adapting our services to make sure no one is left behind.

What is your pledge?

We stand with the London Justice Centre and its innovative approach to supporting youth in conflict with the law. By prioritizing early intervention, wrap-around support, and accountability with dignity, we pledge to champion models that reduce recidivism and build long-term safety for young people and our community.

Together, we pledge to help youth break cycles—not be defined by them.

We recognize that gender identity and lived experience shape how people navigate safety, support, and healing. Our programs are intentionally designed to meet these diverse needs so every client receives care that aligns with who they are, and we pledge to continue to offer comprehensive support. Empowering people starts with listening, adapting, and ensuring everyone can access support that truly fits.

11/27/2025

We pledge to equip students with real tools to address IPV and help them learn about the many resources in our community. Because no matter the career path, IPV shows up, and future leaders deserve the knowledge to support survivors safely and effectively.

What is your pledge for the 16 Days?

Today marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and the start of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (GBV). We honour survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and refuse to accept gender-based violence as inevitable.

This year, we’re collaborating with the Muslim Resource Centre for Social Support and Integration for a joint campaign calling our community into learning, reflection, and action.

Stay tuned over the next 16 days for stories, resources, and ways you can help create real, lasting change.

By disrupting violence and abuse, we play a pivotal role in contributing to the safety of women, children and men.

Changing Ways supports men to stop their abusive behaviour in their relationships, and challenges them to take an active role in preventing woman abuse. The agency is a model in the larger community, working in partnership with others who are committed to ending violence against women.

Our philosophy is that sexism is inherent in the power imbalance that contributes to violence against women. Gender systems continue to privilege and enable men to exercise control over women in their primary relationships. Changing Ways is committed, on all levels, to a feminist model in an effort to eradicate woman abuse, and to changing the value systems that perpetuate inequality.
