Approximately 500 billion plastic bags are used worldwide every year, more than one million every minute. Plastic is all around us and 50% of it will only be used once. The effects of our addiction to plastic is devastating. One million seabirds and 100,000 marine mammals die from plastic debris in our oceans and the contamination of waterways pose increasing risks to human health.
We all have a responsibility to stop destructive effects of plastic pollution. At Ecopocket, our vision is to shed light on the devastating effects of plastic pollution and raise awareness for environmental conservation.
Our ecopocket bags are made of 100% natural cotton processed AZO-Free with no hazardous chemicals. They are individually hand stencilled using non-aerosol paints in London Ontario by a team of dedicated high school students. Our eco-friendly tote bags replace disposable bags in everyday grocery shopping, trips to the library, music lessons, the pool, the gym and many others.
With each bag sold, Ecopocket will spend 10 minutes cleaning the Thames River as a part of the Thames River Cleanup project to support our local community. We will also donate 10% of our profits to Canadian Freshwater Alliance, a national initiative to secure and protect Canadaโs lakes and rivers.
Ecopocket is not only a new way to shop, they are powerful statements against plastic pollution. By purchasing an ecopocket, you are taking a stand for our planetโs future and reflecting a new lifestyle. Speak out and live green with Ecopocket.
