Meditation is not about becoming calm or peaceful all the time. It is about developing the ability to stay present whether things feel calm, restless, heavy, or neutral.
That distinction matters in recovery. Life does not become stress-free, but meditation can help people relate differently to stress, cravings, and emotional discomfort without immediately reacting or self-soothing.
