‘Tis the season for snowy mornings and slippery commutes. During the winter months even a short walk outside can lead to slips, falls and injuries.

Incidents can be avoided by taking caution and keeping the following tips in mind:

❄️ Choose well-fitting shoes and boots with good traction.
❄️ Take small steps, walk slowly and keep your hands free.
❄️ Use cleared and salted walkways whenever possible and avoid shortcuts.
❄️ Plan ahead and make sure you have enough time to travel.

World Diabetes Day Today, CFPM is proud to join the global community in promoting awareness about diabetes and its impact on health, particularly foot health. Diabetes can lead to reduced circulation and sensation, increasing the risk of ulcers and infections. However, most serious complications can be prevented by performing daily foot checks, maintaining controlled blood sugar levels, choosing proper footwear, and scheduling regular podiatric visits. Let us raise awareness, support early detection, and empower individuals living with diabetes to take confident, healthy steps forward. 💙
