PRP treatments involve collecting a small amount of your blood and spinning it in a centrifuge machine to separate the platelets(yellow) from the red blood cells. As shown in this photo.
PRP is generally considered a safe and effective method of potentially reversing hair loss without surgery. PRP therapy can be used as a stand-alone treatment or in addition to other medical hair loss treatments to slow shedding, thicken hair strands, and improve hair quality.
While certain medical conditions, medications, and infections can cause hair loss and baldness, hair loss is most often genetic. Both men and women may benefit from this treatment.

Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is a high concentration of platelets in a small volume of plasma. A small amount of blood is drawn and then the platelets/plasma are isolated (by centrifugation - spun at high speed in a machine) from the other components of the blood. The PRP is then injected or micro-needled into the scalp.
PRP therapy can stimulate inactive hair follicles into an active growth phase in those who have thinning hair or androgenic alopecia.
