Being my daughter’s primary caregiver means my availability is intentional and at times, limited. That boundary isn’t something I work around. It’s something I honour.

Growth sometimes means expanding.
And sometimes it means refining.

Returning to solo practice gives me the space to focus more intentionally on the work I feel most called to: identity, life transitions, motherhood, and the in-between seasons that shape us.

As a clinician, I’ve evolved. My approach is deeper, steadier, and more grounded than ever. As a business owner, I’m clearer on what sustainability truly means. And right now, it means focusing my practice more on the clinical value and less on managing people, complex situations, and a lack of compassion during a season of life I need it most.

Capacity isn’t just about schedule.
It’s about emotional presence.
It’s about integrity.
It’s about doing meaningful work without depletion.

This shift allows me to practice in a way that supports longevity, for my clients and for myself.

There’s something quietly powerful about returning to what fits.

As I step back into solo practice, this shift feels less like a change… and more like a coming home. Over the past few years, I’ve grown not only as a clinician and business owner, but as a person, especially in motherhood.

My capacity looks different now.
My priorities are clearer.
My boundaries are stronger.

And this next chapter reflects that.

Solo practice allows me to work in a way that aligns with my energy, my values, and the season of life I’m in, both professionally and personally.

It’s simpler.
It’s intentional.
It’s aligned.

Everyday Self Counselling

My name is Nicole, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Q), Psychometrist, and owner of Everyday Self Counselling! I completed my Honors B.A. in psychology and sociology at Western University, and I completed my M.A. in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. As a therapist, I aim to help my clients educate themselves to live a happy, healthy, and loving life.
