Congratulations Dr. K on 10 years! What an incredible milestone! 🎉🎉🎉

10 YEARS in practice. phew. Where do I even begin? Part of me is like keep it short n sweet, the other part is like girrrrl there isn't enough space to cover everything...

Firstly, I have to thank my mom for being so 'granola' when I was a kid and exposing me to the wide world of Naturopathy. I'm grateful she was able to see me graduate and start this path.

I can officially say I've been in this career longer than I was in undergrad and post grad! University was NOT the time of my life - I worked anywhere from 1-3 jobs at a time and still came out 100K+ in debt at the end. I would not have made it to the finish line without the moral support of friends and family along the way.

Thankfully - This career is a gift. And that grind was worth it! Every day I wake up eager to see my patients - Watching you make changes to your life and thriving is the coolest thing to witness and be a part of.

I had a patient ask me this week how I stay motivated to keep on track with my workouts. And this applies to more than that.. but if I need you to make hard choices, do the uncomfortable, try something new...I need to lead by example. All that to say, I wouldn't be who I am, without all of you.

Each life story I've heard, the wins, the loses and everything in between... I learn as much from you as I hope you learn from me. You are all a part of my story too!

Thank you to my friends and family for your continued support. Thank you to each and every one of my patients - my days are full of light because of you!

RMT Updates!

After six years with The Backsmiths, Danny Hepworth RMT is starting his own independent practice at True North Compounding Centre (Unit 21, 1828 Blue Heron Drive) beginning November 1st. Danny, who joined The Backsmiths right after school, has developed into a skilled and dedicated practitioner, specializing in manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) and trained in cupping therapy and personal training. We are also thrilled to welcome back Jennifer Elder, RMT, who is returning to the massage profession after some time away.
