Most first-time patients want to “just treat this one area.”
Cheeks only. Lips only. Jawline only.
The assumption is logical: less treatment equals more natural results.
That belief comes from seeing overfilled, distorted faces where volume was added without restraint or strategy. The problem, however, is not “too many areas.” The problem is poor structural planning.
The face functions as a dynamic, interconnected system. Volume loss in one region alters the way adjacent regions appear. Isolating a single area can exaggerate imbalance rather than correct it. Enhancing the cheeks without addressing temple hollowing can make the upper face appear more depleted. Treating lips without structural support can create heaviness. Spot treating often amplifies contrast.
Natural results come from restoring proportion, not adding product. Harmony requires understanding how light, shadow, movement, and structural support interact across the entire face.
The outcome is determined less by how much is injected and more by whether the injector understands anatomy, biomechanics, and facial balance. 💉📐🧬
