My Sisters’ Place.

We are thrilled to once again partner with State and Main, London celebrating Mothers is all forms.

From May 1st to 10th when you book a reservation and enjoy a meal at State and Main they will donate $10 to My Sisters’ Place.

Need a pick me up today? This always does it for us. Take a moment, turn up your volume and enjoy.

This morning a couple of the women were chatting about how much fun we had making the Ironstone Building Company Lip Sync Video. Together we decided to repost it -- because it's a feel-good video that's about connection and sisterhood.

Shout out to our video Director Darlene Zaifman- Guslits, videographer Jacob Zaifman and Aron Guslits who did a stellar job editing, and the incredible All Our Sisters Chorus who led the way!

My Sisters’ Place:

Friends we have an ongoing need for emergency clothing—particularly bottoms. Our preference is bottoms with some stretch, for comfort and easy fit. This includes leggings, yoga pants, sweatpants and the like.

We welcome donations at our side door (566 Dundas Street, enter from William Street) weekdays from 10:00-4:00 & 4:30-7:00. Weekends from 10:30-1:30

*Please note we will be closed Thursday afternoon this week for staff training.

*Saturday is a great day to drop off donations this week! The Coach House will be open from 10-3 for the Micro Enterprise’s Annual Spring Sale!

London Coffee House:

We love our coffee over at Coffee House! Of course we do!

Costco Tom dropped by with our most used item. Coffee! Imagine the volume of coffee, sugar and whitener we go through in a week’s time. We serve more than 200 cups per day. Coffee, conversation, connection.

We are always grateful for donations of the above items as well as tea and hot chocolate too. (And our friend Shawn treats us to cream on occasion!)

Thank you Tom! You are both practical and generous and we so appreciate you!

Want to donate? Come by 371 Hamilton Road from 9:30-12:30, 7 days / week. Enter through the back gate.

My Sisters’ Place:

THANK YOU Costco Tom for this incredibly generous donation!

Hydration is important always. While inside My Sisters’ Place we have water dispensers but we are always in need of water to go. Some women carry reusable water bottles but for women who don’t, bottled water is very important.

We love that Tom always asks what we need most because that can change in a moment on any given day.

This support means a lot to us. Thanks for being a wonderful ‘brother’ to us Tom!

Sincere thanks to Peter and OEV Cares for a hearty, enjoyable lunch today.

Delicious chili dogs, salad and a side of potato chips. Thanks so much to Bobby for being so quick to lend a hand —always.

Coffee House is all about connection and belonging and thanks to friends and supporters like Peter and OEV Cares, we enjoy great conversation while enjoying a meal together.

My Sisters’ Place:

Happy Earth Day friends! What a stunning day to spend time outdoors, admiring and tending to Mother Earth.

Thanks to Diana for a delicious and fun themed dessert and a big shout out to everyone who joined in our yard tidy up. We are fortunate to be surrounded by beautiful trees and gardens in our outdoor space.

Our plum trees have gorgeous blossoms and will soon be loaded with fruit.

My Sisters’ Place:

From the kitchen today—a delicious vegetarian pilaf.

Did you know, last year we served 23,181 meals? Our hearty, nutritious lunch is often the reason a woman comes through our doors. Not having to decide between paying rent / bills or buying food can mean the difference between staying housed and losing housing.

Once inside, women have access to a day bed to rest, a hot shower, laundry machines, a computer and a phone all while being supported by skilled, compassionate staff.

Being program of CMHA Thames Valley Addiction and Mental Health Services means we are connected to a whole host of supports and services to help women find safety, stability to and move their lives forward.

We also have a long list of valued community partners we are fortunate to work with.

Your support makes everything we do possible —and this is no overstatement!
