đ International Day of Persons with Disabilities
December 3
Today, we join communities around the world in recognizing the International Day of Persons with Disabilitiesâa day dedicated to promoting understanding, dignity, and equal opportunity for people of all abilities.
At Rehab First, we are honoured to support individuals living with physical, cognitive, and psychological challenges as they rebuild their independence, regain confidence, and reconnect with the activities that give their lives meaning. Every day, our clinicians witness incredible strength, persistence, and resilience in the clients we serve.
This yearâs theme reminds us that accessibility is not an add-onâit is a foundation for participation, inclusion, and quality of life. As a rehabilitation team, we are committed to:
⢠Empowering clients through evidence-based care
⢠Removing barriers to participation at home, at work, and in the community
⢠Advocating for equitable access to services and supports
⢠Partnering with families, funders, and community organizations to promote long-term recovery
We extend our appreciation to the clients who trust us with their stories, to the families who walk beside them, and to our interdisciplinary team whose dedication makes meaningful progress possible.
Together, we continue working toward a future where every personâregardless of abilityâcan thrive, participate fully, and live with dignity.
