Jodi DiGiuseppe

Jodi DiGiuseppe Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, Manual Therapist Massage Therapy is the manipulation of the soft tissues and joints of the body.

Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) is a system of health care that utilizes a hands-on approach to assist in the assessment and treatment of pain and dysfunction. OMT follows the theory that imbalances in the human frame and structure influence proper joint mechanics and can lead to the development sore muscles and joints. Our goal is to remove abnormal tissue tensions and joint restrictions

in the body to encourage structural balance. The manual treatment offered by Osteopathic Practitioners focuses on correcting tissue strains and tensions that interfere with blood flow, venous drainage and proper nerve conduction. This assessment-based manual therapy is helpful in the treatment and prevention of physical dysfunction and pain by acting on the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems.

You can leave the noise of the world outside, even if it is just for an hour.

Being self-employed means: no paid maternity leave, no paid sick days, no holiday pay, no summer shut down, no pension plan and a very quiet company Christmas party.

Honestly, very few people annoy me. But I do like long walks. And there are so many walks to choose from:
1. The dog walk.
2. The catch-up walk (AKA therapy)
3. The problem-solving walk.
4. The after dinner walk (AKA the fart walk)
5. The mood-boosting walk (therapy).
6. The multi-tasking walk.
7. The mall-walk (for when it's too cold or too hot to walk outside).
Walking is one of the simplest and most effective ways to feel better. Health hack: walk after dinner to metabolize blood sugar.

Zeitgebers are cues from your external environment—like sunlight, work schedules, meals, and physical activity—that help keep your body’s internal clock in sync. Blood sugar, hormone regulation, inflammation, weight regulation and cardiovascular health are all influenced by your dark/light cycles.
1. Adopt a regular sleep cycle. Hormones, digestion, and alertness all prefer predictable daily schedules.
2. Seek out the morning sun to reset your circadian rhythm. The morning light tells your brain the day has started.
3. Stop eating 3-4 hours before bed. As evening approaches, your metabolism naturally slows and your body begins shifting toward its overnight repair mode.
Small changes can make a big difference.

Most people don’t know their passion. This book is a great gift for the high school graduate that is uncertain, the post secondary student who is unsure, the mid-lifers and retirees who think “there’s more to life than this”. Life is a marvellous portfolio of experiences, of adventures, of failures that taught us important lessons, and hardships that made us stronger.
Wish I understood this 30 years ago.

"What lights you up right now? What's a good thing to dedicate this season of your life to? Perhaps more importantly, what purpose served you well in your previous season, but you have outgrown?

Life is always changing. It's okay to pick a new North Star."
~ James Clear

The older I get, the more I value Winter's slumber. The restlessness has set in telling me the season of new beginnings is upon us, the season of growth.
