What is the difference between a low profile and high profile implant? ✨
When I meet with patients during a consultation, I always start by measuring the width of their chest. Just like your shoe size, this measurement cannot be changed.
Once we know your perfect base width, we can decide on the profile of your implant. Think of it like choosing the heel of a shoe.
👟 A low profile implant is like a low heel shoe with a more natural and subtle projection.
👠 A high profile implant is like a high heel with more forward projection and fullness.
There is no one-size-fits-all. It is all about what looks and feels best for you. 💕

What is a breast reduction? 🤔
A breast reduction is a surgical procedure designed to make the breasts smaller, lighter and more proportional to your body. During surgery, I carefully remove excess breast tissue, fat and skin to reduce size and weight. My surgical technique also combines liposuction to help with contouring, giving a smoother and more natural shape. The breast is then reshaped, and the ni**le and ar**la are repositioned to create a more lifted and balanced appearance.
Many women choose a breast reduction to relieve back, neck and shoulder pain, to improve posture, or to feel more confident in their clothing. 💕

What do you need to know about upper eyelid surgery? 👁️✨
During this procedure, we focus on removing excess skin from the upper eyelids. It’s a relatively quick surgery that can be performed under local anesthesia.

Dr Hana Farhang Khoee is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada with extensive experience in both Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. A graduate of the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Farhang has worked in hospitals and private clinics throughout Ontario and the United States. She completed her residency in Plastic Surgery at McMaster University, followed by a fellowship in Reconstructive Microsurgery at the world-renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. There she was mentored by the world leaders in Plastic Surgery to manage complex cases related to breast, head and neck, extremity, and perineal cancer reconstruction.
Upon her return to Canada, she began working as a Trauma Surgeon at St Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, dealing with complicated traumatic injuries related to the craniofacial skeleton, as well as upper and lower extremity limb trauma. She also worked at the McLean Cosmetic Surgery Clinic, where she furthered her aesthetic surgical experience and conducted female-to-male (FTM) chest masculinisation surgeries for transgender patients.
In the summer of 2017, Dr Farhang was recruited to Windsor, Ontario to develop a Breast Reconstruction Program – a service the city had been without for over 10 years. She brings with her a wealth of experience in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery and has since performed the city’s first immediate implant-based breast reconstruction in over a decade and its first chest masculinisation surgery for a female to male transgender patient.
Dr Farhang is intensely committed to improving patient outcomes and quality of life following surgery. As a part of this, her practice employs “Breast-Q,” a personalized questionnaire specifically developed for breast reconstruction patients to better evaluate their needs and improve long-term outcomes.
In addition to her role at Windsor Regional Hospital, Dr. Farhang is an Adjunct Professor at Western University where she mentors young doctors and works closely surgical residents. She has a genuine interest in education and is pursuing her Master's of Health Professions Education (MHPE) degree at Maastricht University and at the Centre for Education Research & Innovation (CERI) at Western University. This is an internationally recognized program in the field of health education. As a devoted scholar, Dr. Farhang regularly attends international conferences and additional training courses, keeping up-to-date on the most recent techniques and advancements in the field of plastic surgery.
