On May 28th Regulated health professionals, including RMT’s, were permitted to begin gradually providing healthcare services. Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer and The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario have provided new guidelines to be followed to ensure services are provided in a safe manner that protects both client and therapist. We are pleased to announce, having completed preparing the clinic, that we are ready to start booking appointments.
Reflexologists and esthetician's services have yet to be given the go ahead, but we are hopeful this will be in the near future so that you can book your reflexology treatment or facial with Judy. We will keep you posted.
As we implement the new policies and infection control standards, things will be a little different at your appointment and we ask for your help in maintaining a safe and healthy environment. Here is what to expect:
When booking your appointment, we will be pre-screening (by phone or virtually) for risk of COVID-19 and also immediately prior to treatment we will have you complete and sign a COVID-19 screening form to ensure your status has not changed. This form will be kept in your file.
Please arrive just a few minutes before your appointment time and wait in your vehicle or outside until your therapist opens their door for you
Note: If you are seeing Linda or Heather you will be entering the clinic from the doors at back of the building, going directly into the treatment room and if you have an appointment with Sue or Judy you can use the front door as usual and wait in the reception area
Please attend your appointment wearing a clean disposable or reusable mask
Upon entering clinic, you must clean your hands by either washing with soap and water or using hand sanitizer
In order to limit the number of people in the clinic we must ask that you come alone, unless you require the assistance of a caregiver, or you are accompanying your child. (this visitor must also wear a mask). The reception area will be available for the other person to wait in.
When we are massaging, we will be wearing a mask and/or a face shield as we are unable to maintain the 2 meters of physical distancing
We encourage contactless payment by using the tap feature on your debit/credit card or by using e-transfer. We will be emailing receipts where possible.
We ask for your patience as we try to accommodate all appointment requests but as we are doing a gradual re-opening we may not get everybody in right away. Our hours will be a little less to begin with, and extra time is required between clients as we disinfect and clean all contact surfaces to ensure everyone’s safety. We also hope that you can be understanding, and accepting of a small increase in fees to cover the increased costs of doing business going forward.
