Everyday Strategies (Week 3)
Every week, I will provide you with one strategy that you can implement at home or in the comfort of your own space. These techniques will be therapeutic, holistic, or relaxational. We can use these strategies for 5 minutes a day, at any time, whether in the morning, midday, or at night, whenever you need them. You can be in the middle of a lot going on, and just take 5 minutes for yourself.
How to do Box Breathing
Step 1: Breathe in, counting to four slowly. Feel the air enter your lungs.
Step 2: Hold your breath for 4 seconds. Try to avoid inhaling or exhaling for 4 seconds.
Step 3: Slowly exhale through your mouth for 4 seconds.
Step 4: Rest and center yourself for four seconds
