Nobody wants to wake a sleeping baby! I know it feels counterintuitive, but there are some instances that I recommend gently waking your child from their slumber.
Until your baby has dropped down to one nap, you will want to WAKE them up if they have been napping for 2 hours.
2+ naps a day= 2hr max/nap
WHY!?
Have you ever taken a long nap in and woken up in a haze? You feel kinda groggy and out of it. This can happen for our babes too! But the main reason is so that you donβt mess up the rest of your days schedule.
If your child is taking a 3 hour nap in the morning, you are going to struggle with scheduling the remainder of your day. It will be more difficult to fit in all your naps and make it to bedtime, without going over your maximum nap total.
