Okay guys, listen up.
I am so crazy passionate about YL, and I'm gonna break it down for ya.

The vast majority of essential oils on the market today are only suitable for cosmetics and perfumes. The reason Young Living’s oils are so different is their unmatched commitment to producing a pure, unadulterated oil. Young Living’s devotion to creating a highly therapeutic product means they’ve invested in their own farms, care for and nurture their own plants, trees, and shrubs, and finally distill, test, and bottle the oils that arrive on your doorstep.

I've seen this first hand at their Mona, Utah and St. Maries, Idaho, our Ecuador farm, our farms in Spain, Hawaii, and British Columbia. Anyone can go visit a YL farm! DO IT. It will blow your mind.

If at any point in that production process something doesn’t meet their standards, they get rid of it and start again. Because of this, our favorite oils sometimes go out of stock… and we are happy about it! Because we love getting our oils from a company that doesn’t crank them out quickly in a lab to make a buck, but waits on the plants to grow (no synthetics) and until the batch is perfect. They accept nothing less.

No other company owns farms or distilleries. Repeat. NONE. Let me give you an example of how important it is for a company to know the right time of day to harvest the plant and exactly how long to distill the plant to produce the chemical compounds the plant contains that is therapeutic to our bodies.

Let's take CYPRESS ESSENTIAL OIL, which has 280 known chemical constituents. If it is distilled for 20 hours you only get 20 of the 280 properties. If distilled for 26 hours you get none of the properties.

Most market cypress is distilled for 3.5 hours.

The correct length of time for distilling cypress is 24 hours to get the full 280 properties.

If you want Cypress to do the job it is intended to do, you MUST get ALL 280 constituents, no more, no less. Most people just do not realize essential oils have chemical properties in them and in order to get the full benefit out of that particular oil it has to be grown, harvested, and distilled the correct way or the oil has no benefit to us.

I chose Young Living because of this process, after weeks of research. I started using oils when my daughter was just 8 months old, and I took a lot of time choosing what I put into my body during my pregnancy, during my labor and delivery, and after she was born. It only made sense to take the same care with the essential oils I chose to use to support her health and wellness (and my whole family’s) and to make sure I wasn’t introducing any additives, synthetics, or other toxins into our bodies.

But Young Living is more expensive, right? You’re right, often times it is and “you get what you pay for” has never been more true. Young Living is more expensive than other brands and oils you can find at Whole Foods or on Amazon because of its therapeutic grade. An ever-growing number of marketers have jumped on the essential oils bandwagon looking for an easy way to make a lot of money. Most of these oils are cheap imitations, purchased wholesale in large quantities, diluted with synthetic additives, and rebottled before being sold to you.

That’s not okay for us. We want the best for our families and we don’t want to “save money” short-term only to spend more long-term because we used something that didn’t do what it was supposed to or even harmed us.

Some of the other companies may claim that their oils are organic. Unfortunately, the term “organic” is not regulated by the FDA in regards to essential oils. They do not certify or grade essential oils so any oil you see making those claims is simply using the word. They did not have to do anything to earn it.

If you cannot walk onto your oil company's farms and watch them distill their oils at their very own distilleries, then don't use it.

There’s a reason Young Living has been the world leader in essential oils for 27 years!

Here's an amazing example:
At convention, they let us know that the week before, Young Living rejected 7,000 kilos of Peppermint because it did not meet our standards. Their state of the art machinery detected one part per billion of mercury in the batch, and sent it right back. For reference, that's equivalent to one drop in an Olympic-sized swimming pool💧

The cost to our company was NOT a factor in the decision. The fact that it had the potential to throw a very crucial and popular oil out of stock did NOT factor into the decision. If it doesn't meet our standards, it doesn't get sold. Period.

Wonder what company bought that rejected oil?😐 I’ll give you one guess 😂

We run 15-20 tests on each oil.
Twice.
And we have outside labs who test for us again. They are the same labs that the FBI and Scotland Yards use. YUP.

We are the only company who has our own Isotope Ratio Mass Specrometey (IRMS) machine. Actually, we have two. Scientists are trained for TWO YEARS to use it.

We measure the amount of carbon isotope ratios in the oils to make sure it matches the CIR in the atmosphere...because our plants get their oils from the atmosphere. So it needs to be the same. Duh. Synthetic oils don't match the atmosphere. And guess what? We don't have any of those 😉🙌🏻

Y’all, best zit testimony coming at you 😱🤣

Okay, so after my hysterectomy in November, then having CV in January, my hormones have been absolutely bizarre. Well, due to that, I started getting random zits on my chin. I never, EVER, had dealt with zits like this before. I mean, the ones that you feel coming in under the skin, that HURT when you touch them. That’s when you know, great, this is going to be a horrible one. Yea, those SUCK! Well, in the past when I got the occasional pimple, I usually would apply Purification essential oil on it, and that would help take it away. Well, not these puppies! Nope! That oil wasn’t making a dent in these hormonal zits like they did with my occasional pimples.

Exactly 24 hours ago, I woke up and I could feel a painful large zit beginning to form on my chin. I went to grab the Purification oil, but then stopped and thought about what I had just used on my infected and swollen finger. You know on the side of your fingernail sometimes when the skin area gets red, swollen, and super sensitive to the touch? Well, that’s because bacteria gets inside it, right? So, anytime I’ve had that, I always put Thieves essential oil on it, put a bandaid around it, and within 24 hours it’s totally back to normal. Swelling, redness, sensitivity, gone! I thought to myself, I wonder if it would do the same thing for this zit...? Since a zit also has bacteria, and it is swollen and very sore to the touch... heck, let’s do an experiment 🤣 So, I applied Thieves essential oil to that zit (just a tiny dab on my finger), about 7 times throughout the day. Y’all, within hours the swelling started going down, by the end of the day, soreness was gone completely, and now 24 hours later, it’s almost 100% flat 😱 I thought I was going to be plagued with this zit monster for a WEEK (per like all the others), but Thieves oil to the rescue!!! These oils never cease to amaze me... and that is why going on almost 9 years, I still use them daily!

**Just FYI, Thieves oil is a “hot oil”, which means don’t rub your entire face and sensitive skin areas with it. That is why I just put a tiny dab directly on the zit. It has clove, cinnamon, and lemon essential oil in it, and can be hot to the sensitive areas of the skin. Dilute if needed.

Need capsules for oils?? SAVE THEM from some of the other supplements. Mr. Mao gets a Sulfurzyme and Multigreens daily and I have empties for ME! A little Sulfurzyme or Multigreens left in the capsule is a BONUS along with any oils I choose to take!!!!
