Saddened after the death of my most recent client Mrs M, who passed away peacefully at home on February 14th at the age of 90. It's always difficult to see the effects of dementia and how it reduces a person bit by bit until their body and mind give out. Mrs M's family supported her well as did the rest of the care team. She was also a neighbour and will be missed.

Currently available to take on a new care assignment.

Wow- It's been awhile since I've posted anything! Glad to report that Mr B is still alive although he has slowed down considerably and has grown frailer with his dementia and 94 yrs. We no longer go for walks to feed the ducks, but we did get out for a short stroll a week or so ago when it was warm and sunny.

It’s been a hot summer here in NS but luckily the cooler breezes off the ocean keep it just right most of the time. One of my clients passed away after a long life well lived ( if the many photos were any indication). I’ll be taking on some new folks. Always curious about their lives and all they’ve done.

I have the loveliest two clients in Mahone Bay these days. And it's great that I can pop from one's house to the other's. The one couple actually bought their house from the other couple! It's mainly the wives I'm helping as their men need supervision and assistance. And it's a real bonus to have overlapping interests with these women.

This has been a large and busy week. I finished up with my client Carol and she’s off to live next to her son’s in Shelburne.
Today I started with a lovely new couple, who live a mere 5 minutes away from home. There’s also a beautiful view of the sea from their house!
