Thank to Pacific Open Heart Association for their donation of $2000 towards the purchase of a Vital Signs Monitor for the UPCC! Additional monitors will help support the expanding of clinic programs, enabling quicker and more efficient patient care.

We are grateful to have received support from POHA for over 22 years! We hope to continue working together for better in health in our community for many years to come.

We did it! We are excited to share that we have surpassed our goal of $5,000! With the generous matching from TD, we will be able to contribute over $10,600 towards our Patient Resource Cupboard. This vital initiative provides essential items such as hygiene supplies, clothing, shoes, and other necessities that help restore comfort and dignity for patients during their recovery.

Marcus came in for what was supposed to be a routine day procedure – in and out, back home by evening. He packed light: just his wallet and keys. But complications arose during surgery, and what should have been hours has now become a week-long hospital stay.

Living far away from family, Marcus faces an uncomfortable reality: he's stuck without basic necessities. No toothbrush, no clean socks, no deodorant – none of the simple items that help maintain comfort and dignity during recovery. The thought of asking busy nurses to help coordinate deliveries feels overwhelming.

The patient resource cupboard becomes his lifeline, providing toiletries, comfortable socks, and other essentials that transform his unexpected extended stay from miserable to manageable.

It's 4:17 AM when Lisa finally gets discharged from the ER.

What started as a fun evening out with friends turned into chaos when she slipped on wet pavement and injured her leg. The medical team had to cut away her jeans to properly assess and treat the injury. Now, hours later, she's grateful to be okay – but faced with a new problem.

How does she get home without pants? Her parents live an hour away, and the last thing she wants is to wake them with a panicked 4:00AM phone call. Her friends who brought her in have long since gone home. Sitting on the exam bed in a medical gown, Lisa feels stuck and embarrassed.

That's when a nurse mentions the patient resource cupboard – stocked with clothing essentials for situations just like this. Within minutes, Lisa has a pair of comfortable sweatpants to wear home. A stressful night ends with dignity intact.

The December Marketplace calendar is now up! You can support RMH Foundation by supporting our merchants at our Marketplace.

Part of all sales proceeds in the Marketplace go directly to RMH Foundation, which we in turn use to support the health care needs of our communities through the purchase of new equipment, education, and research. RMH Foundation’s Marketplace is located in the main entrance of Ridge Meadows Hospital.

The hospital's volunteer run gift shop is open Monday through Friday from 11:00am-3:00pm. Hours may fluctuate due to volunteer availability.

A heartfelt thank you to the Thomas Haney Knights of Columbus! Since 2007, their generous support has brought us over $6,000, making a significant impact on our community.

We’d especially like to acknowledge Barrie Herod (pictured with our ED, Janine) who has been a constant presence, coming by for the cheque presentations and delivering those cheques year after year.

This year their donation is going towards the purchase of a Tilt Commode for Physiotherapy. This will provide essential support and safety for patients with mobility challenges, improving toileting during physiotherapy sessions.

Your dedication and kindness mean so much to us! Here’s to many more years of partnership! 🙌💖

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Maple Ridge Legion #88 for their unwavering support of our Foundation and the community. With over CA$533K donated over the years, their impact has been substantial.

For 28 years, since 1992, we have proudly been the designated recipient of poppy funds, and this year we were honored to receive $32,500. We truly appreciate their generosity and the opportunity to celebrate together on Remembrance Day at the Legion. It was a wonderful sight to see the community come together in remembrance.

A special shoutout to Heidi, our board chair, for joining us in this meaningful celebration.

A huge thank you to the Meadow Ridge Rotary Club for their incredible support over the years! Since 1992, they have generously donated over $78,700, and this year they are stepping up again with a donation of $10,000 towards two vital sign monitors for our UPCC.

These new units will:
• Support expanding programs like the Memory Clinic, focused on early dementia detection
• Improve patient flow and clinician efficiency
• Enable us to serve more patients with accuracy and speed

The impact is clear: more patients seen, more lives supported—especially within our aging population. Thank you, Meadow Ridge Rotary Club, for your unwavering commitment to improving our community's health! 👏💙
