Due to a temporary gap in obstetrician-gynecologist coverage at Ridge Meadows Hospital, a maternity diversion will be in place from Wednesday, March 18 at 8:00 a.m. to Monday, March 23 at 8:00 a.m.

If you are in labour or have a pregnancy concern, please call the Maternity Unit first. Our staff will direct you to the appropriate hospital for care.

A heartfelt thank you to the Ridge Meadows Chamber of Commerce for this recognition. Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation has been serving our hospital since 1985 and we will continue to work hard to support the healthcare in our community.

This past weekend, we celebrated a partnership that embodies heart, service, and shared purpose. The Ridge-Meadows South Asian Cultural Society has once again showed remarkable generosity in support of health care in our community. Since 2008, they have donated over $140,000 to Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation.

We were honored to attend their 2026 Gala, a gathering that brings together leaders, neighbors, and changemakers to share, learn, and deepen our shared commitment to care. We are grateful to RMSACS for their gift of $10,000! A heartfelt congratulations goes out to all award recipients who demonstrate exceptional care across our Ridge Meadows community.

The South Asian Gala is more than a night of festivity; it's a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we come together. We are deeply grateful for this partnership, for the Society’s leadership, and for the opportunity to serve our community.

🌿 REGISTRATION opens SOON! This year, our Hike for Hospice will be again at Allco Park in Maple Ridge, Sunday, May 24th 2026

🌲Please join us for a short memorial walk in honor of our grief and loss. The day will include music, face painting, memory rock painting, and a ceremonial petal release at the river side. Much more info to come!

A letter from Cassi Gray - Clinical Operations Manager, RM PCN recent recipient of our donor-funded Impact Grants.

"I am writing on behalf of the Registered Nurses, patients in the Ridge Meadows Primary Care Network (PCN), and our entire PCN team, to express our heartfelt gratitude for the baby dolls.

Every year our Registered Maternity Nurses deliver an average of 40 prenatal classes to 280 couples. The people who receive this vital education, at no cost to them, are often first-time parents, new residents, and most are carrying some type of vulnerability (low income, low support, etc.).

This comprehensive education is delivered in-person to create connection and is divided into 3 parts. The first section reviews basic hospital information and a photographic tour of our local RMH Maternity ward. Key topics such as what to pack and birth plans are covered and participants are encouraged to participate and ask questions. The second section covers the stages of labour, pain management options, assisted deliveries, c-sections and induction of labour. The third section is reserved for postpartum depression information such as what to expect immediately after baby is born, including a diaper changing demonstration followed by baby feeding, surviving the second night, car seat safety and perinatal mental health.

So why are these beautiful baby dolls so impactful for this work?

On our class feedback forms we ask, "what was your favorite part of the the class?" The #1 answer to this question is, "Everything!" But after that, "hands on demonstration" makes a strong appearance.

And while the baby dolls we originally purchased have provided some comedy when their heads fell of (they are getting old and worn indeed) these new baby dolls are so integral for our soon to be parents so that they can practice what they have learned.

The addition of these dolls allows us to consider expansion of our class size to serve more people.

And if we can serve more of these parents, we can also hopefully serve their beautiful babies and the future of the community that we are so proud to live, work, and play in."
