We are so excited for another season of Outdoor Adventure Groups, a fully inclusive and ND-affirming outdoor group for children! Join The Wonder Seekers as we explore parks and trails, and connect to the land and each other! We have groups in both Abbotstford and Maple Ridge!

Come and join us for some nature fun!

Do you have a teen interested in trying new things or meeting new people? Does your teen need a little extra support? Have traditional social groups not been a fit? The Wild Thinkers, our Outdoor Adventure Group for teens may be the place for them! Join Brea, Karen, and Elizabeth and explore local trails and parks, trying new skills, and building connections to each other! We have two groups running this season, Maple Ridge and Abbotsford!

$20 per session (or $50 for all three sessions)

This is not your regular yoga class! Every 60 minute session will incorporate exercise (partner poses, create your own flow, yoga games etc), yogified games and music and all the traditional benefits of yoga-meditation, breathing techniques and relaxation.

Bumblebee Breath (also known as Bhramari Pranayama) is a simple yet powerful breathing technique that can be especially calming for kids.

How to practice it: Inhale through the nose, plug your ears and close your eyes. Exhale with a humming sound. Listen and feel the vibration in your head. Repeat two more times.

Workshop Description: Participants will explore why After School Care is vital to a child’s development and social well-being. They will learn how to create an inclusive and engaging environment, how to support social and emotional development and how to navigate the complex challenges that school age providers may encounter in their practice. We will explore the value of risky play and how to incorporate it into a School Aged program

Facilitator Bio: Karen has 30 years of experience working with children from birth to nineteen years of age in childcare and community settings. She is passionate about creating spaces where all people are welcome. She uses yoga, mindfulness and gratitude practices as a platform to help people connect with themselves and others and find their place in the world.
She is a licensed Early Childhood Educator, Infant/Toddler Educator and Special Needs Educator, a certified Community Resiliency Model® Teacher, a registered 200-hour Yoga Teacher, a 95-hour Children's Yoga Teacher and a certified Prenatal Yoga Teacher .

July is here! In a few days I will leave for France to walk the Camino Frances again. I’m so excited. I cannot take as much time away so I will only be able to walk half of it. I’m excited and curious to see what this Camino will bring.
