The same relentless grind that almost crushed me is exactly what pulled me through.
I started at the bottom—just a kid holding the rod, terrified of messing up. Day in, day out, I hustled my way up until I was running cranes. But honestly, I was building more than just a résumé. With every early morning and late night, I built grit, discipline, and a backbone forged in sweat and setbacks.
Let’s not sugarcoat it. The jobsite tested me in brutal ways—nights lost to bad decisions, substance abuse, and regret that weighed heavy. There were times I barely recognized the guy staring back at me, moments when quitting felt like the only way out. More than once, I found myself crawling back to work when money got low and hope ran out.
But every long shift, every mistake, every comeback—it all prepared me for something bigger. When I finally hung up my hard hat to chase a new path as an entrepreneur and personal trainer, the only thing I could count on was my calluses and refusal to give up.
Now, I get to help others who feel stuck, because I know exactly what that’s like. Here’s what I’ve found: the more you put in, the more you get back—luck favors the relentless.
