In recognition of the Province declaring Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, a province-wide day of mourning following the tragic events in Tumbler Ridge, the City of Maple Ridge invites the community to come together in reflection and remembrance.

At 12:00 noon, alongside the BC Legislature, City facilities will observe a moment of silence and invite residents to also pause hold in our thoughts those impacted by this heartbreaking tragedy.

Books of condolences will be available at the reception areas of the ACT Arts Centre and the Albion Community Centre during operating hours until Tuesday, Feb. 17, for those who wish to share a message with the community of Tumbler Ridge.

Flags at City facilities will remain at half-mast until sunset, Feb. 17.
