Kokums' Den

Kokums' Den Tansi! ~Greetings
Kokum is Cree for Grandmother. This "Den" is a safe place to do our Good Work together. Healing Circles & Ceremony.

Somatic Experiencing, Shamanic & Indigenous Healing & Hypnosis. Email or Website is the best way to reach me!!! Tansi my name is Monique Wilson aka Monique Karhiio Wilson. Karhiio is a Traditional name from my Ancestors, I have adopted it. Kokums' Den is what I call my healing room. It is a safe, comfortable place where I live & work. I offer several modalities; Somatic Experiencing - a trauma informed body centered therapy, Integrative Hypnosis, Indigenous Healing & Teachings, Energy Clearing & Healing, Mediumship & Readings. The Spiritual (Shamanic) Work includes; Negative Thoughtform Clearing, Ancestral Lineage Healing, Clearing & Lifting Spirits from your Home & Energy. I offer these skills integrated in session, or individually. All my work is trauma responsive. I began offering this kind of support long ago, answering a rape crisis line. I continue to do this Good Work with compassion, for others & for myself. I have spent the last 3 years formally studying the science of the effects of trauma on the human nervous system. Life changing learning for sure. I apply & teach this knowledge when I sit with you.

Block by Block, Heart by Heart
Sacred Care Amid Uncertainty

🗓 February 26, 2026 · 10:00–11:30am PST

When acclaimed filmmaker Wim Wenders suggested that art should not be political, and when spiritual teachers encourage detachment and equanimity, a deeper question arises:

What happens when “neutrality” protects injustice?

This gathering challenges the modern myth that inner peace alone is enough. Across ancient traditions—from Confucian ethics to Buddhism to the Egyptian principle of Ma’at—spiritual integrity has always been inseparable from ethical action. Personal healing is not a substitute for collective responsibility.

In this time of repression and rupture, we are witnessing something else emerge: neighborhood networks, quiet care, block-by-block organizing rooted in land, lineage, and relationship. Not reaction, but steady devotion to one another.

Together, we will explore:

* How trauma-informed care, spiritual grounding, and organizing sustain one another
* How understanding state violence as historical—not isolated—changes our response
* How to stay present with grief without collapsing into despair
* What mycelial organizing teaches us about resilient, relational power

This is a conversation about thinking smaller, closer, and more connected. About blending spiritual practice with movement practice. About remembering that care begins near—and grows outward.

Guided by Lyla June, Kaira Jewel Lingo, Jessica Rosenberg, and Rae Abileah.

Let us gather not to escape the world
but to learn how to stay with it, together.

Free Online Event in 2 Weeks!
Join Michael Meade on March 5 for a free online event that explores how if we awaken to our own calling, face our own fears and find our own destinies, then we become able to help change the outer world.

(Includes HD recordings of live event)

Each soul has something unique to offer and each can express a part of the truth. In order to be part of transforming our culture, we have to find the ground on which our souls would have us stand. For some that means literally standing up and speaking out for truth and justice. It can also mean finding places of refuge for ourselves and others or making music and art that helps heal our broken hearts as well as our shattered institutions.

The hidden gift in a period of crisis is the potential for a psychological breakthrough that leads to greater sense of imagination and a deeper sense of unity. Ultimately, what stands against “man’s inhumanity to man” is the awakened individual soul. If we do not abandon ourselves, we do not abandon the world. For, what changes the soul also helps change the world.

This free online event weaves together story, mythic insight and in-depth Q&A periods.

Tansi~ Miyo Kisikaw to exact. 😉
I thought I would let you know, there is a Sweat coming up this Sunday, yes, here...in Maple Ridge. To get more information you will need to send me a private message asking for the link to the Sweat Lodge Support page.
And you know... if you profile is super secret?? And I can't see who you are?? Then you will need to send me a note, introduce yourself, share a little information with me, so that I have an idea of who I am inviting into Ceremony. Okay?? Fair enough I'd say! 🙂
Yes, this is posted for "friends" only. If you have friends that you'd like to share with?? Send them my way.
Another way of getting more information??? Directions, Protocols and such... is to go to my website, on desktop click GROUPS, on mobile click the box at the top right (menu), then click GROUPS...and then Sign Up. Once you Sign Up & create a Profile?? You can request to join one of the GROUPS. 😉 You will see Sweat Lodge there... I approve the request. SO...once again, if I don't know you?? Send me a message and introduce yourself, how you came around, so that I can know who I am inviting into Ceremony.
Fair enough. 🙂

Kokums’ Story

Adjustments for CoVid19.... I am working from my Home. I am able to offer full, wise & accurate Readings. I am able to offer Shamanic Healing, Insights & Teachings. And I am able to offer Clinical Hypnotherapy. I can do this with a combination of technology...Phone, Skype, Duo and Digital Recordings. In fact, clients are saying that at this current time? They are appreciating the privacy, having a Recording to go back over, and the ability for us to still connect visually through video calls. Win-win. Rates are being adjusted to budgets...as I am fully aware that resources may be strained at this time.

Kokums’ Den is the safe, comfortable place where I live, and do healing work. We are blessed with a gorgeous acreage that is 15 mins. east of downtown Maple Ridge. Kokum is one of the Cree words for Grandmother. I am Haudenosaunee & Nêhiyaw Michel Band #137 - Cree, with French & Irish Ancestry running in my blood as well. ;)

What is my work? Spiritual Healing, “Shamanic” Healing, Energetic Healing & Clearing, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Readings, as well as Teaching & Ceremony. I began learning & gathering skills for the purpose of healing in 1999, almost 30 years ago. I am still learning, still gathering and yes, still teaching.

The work that I do is a fusion of all that I have learned.
