Get outside, step away from your screen, connect with a loved one or schedule 5 minutes in your calendar to simply just breathe. Here’s your mid-week reminder to give yourself grace. We put a lot of pressure on ourselves to make sure the holidays are picture perfect and while it would be nice, we unfortunately don’t live in the story line of a predictable holiday hallmark movie. Realistically, Christmas looks a little more like Kevin McCallister’s Home Alone - enjoying the little things like cheese pizza and persevering through what life throws at you.

Focus on what you can control, remember presence over presents and be gentle on yourself.

Have you taken a break this holiday season? December flies by and on top of that, it’s one of the busiest times of year. So while you’re busy trying to keep up, avoid holiday burnout by gifting yourself a little peace🎁 Even if that means setting aside just 5 minutes in your schedule to simply breathe. Focus on gifting yourself a few things that bring you joy so you don’t get wrapped up in the hustle and bustle of the season.

While the holidays can be a joyful time of year for some, for many, they come with a lot of mixed emotions. These emotions are all valid and I can assure you, if you’re not feeling so jolly and bright, you’re definitely not alone.

This time of year especially, it’s important for people to come together. Check in with yourself and check in with others. If you have a little extra joy to spread, spread that joy like it’s confetti! Together, we can get through the holiday season.
