Well, for the last five years I worked as a Correctional Officer in an environment that was incredibly negative and absolutely NOT focused on health and wellness, or helping people... although some might disagree with that. I felt myself changing into a negative person, a Mum with little to no patience with my children and utterly exhausted all the time. It was time for a big change. I had been passionate about fitness and working out since I became a mother, nine years ago and after having my second son, worked with an amazing personal trainer who really changed my life. Why didn't I set up my own business then instead of getting into Corrections? Fear, probably, lack of knowledge, lack of confidence in my abilities and many other reasons or excuses. Over the last 5 years, I have tried to find a way to do something I love and finally took the leap this year to study at INFOFIT to become a Personal Trainer. Along the way I started to think I needed to be able to offer another service that compliments training and would encompass my love for strength and healing as a whole. Along came the idea of Massage. I found a course in Vancouver that presented and taught me a style of massage and healing that absolutely blew my mind! The Raynor Massage Training I received is second to none and I only hope I am able to share my love for this incredible style of deep tissue massage with you all and be a part of your healing process. I was then fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work alongside The Kinney family in Maple Ridge and work out of their beautiful Sun Hang Do facility. My dreams are becoming reality with a lot of hard work and support and I couldn't be more excited! I truly look forward to working with all of you whether it's early in the morning for some circuit training, a more relaxed core conditioning class or an amazing massage experience. Thanks for joining me on my journey!
