Your head weighs about 10–12 pounds in a neutral, upright position. But the moment you start tilting your head forward, that load increases dramatically:

POV: Rehab with me be like…

Me: “Okay, lie on your back.”
Patient: confidently flips onto their stomach.

Me: “Perfect. Now lie on your RIGHT side.”
Patient: immediately commits to the left.
Zero hesitation.

Me: “Just relax.”
Patient: holds one leg in the air like we’re doing advanced Pilates. Core braced. Jaw clenched. Fighting invisible demons.

I promise I’m not trying to trick you 😂
But rehab shouldn’t look like an obstacle course.

Think of your muscles like your favourite piece of clothing. 

At first, it fits perfectly. It feels strong. You wear it all the time because it works. 

But the more you wear it… and wash it… and stretch it… Over time, it starts to fade. The fabric thins. Small tears appear. It doesn’t hold its shape like it used to. 

Your muscles are the same. 

When you overuse or ignore them — long hours at a desk, repetitive lifting, constant stress, poor posture — they don’t suddenly “break.” They slowly wear down. 

They get tight. They get irritated. They lose resilience. And eventually, pain shows up. 

Pain isn’t always a dramatic injury. 
Sometimes it’s just accumulated wear and tear. 

The solution isn’t to throw the shirt away — and it’s not to stop moving completely either. 

It’s to: 
• Restore proper movement 
• Strengthen weak areas 
• Improve how the load is distributed 
• Give the tissue a chance to recover properly 

Because your body, like that favourite piece of clothing, lasts longer when you take care of it the right way

Part 3: Opening my own clinic.

Starting my own clinic wasn’t the highlight reel you see on social media. It was long days. Financial pressure. Doubt. Learning business the hard way.

There were moments I questioned if I was ready. Moments I wondered if I made the right move.

But growth doesn’t come from comfort.
It comes from responsibility. From risk. From showing up when it’s inconvenient.

Opening Modern Health Clinic wasn’t just about business. It was about building something that reflects my values, my standards, and the kind of care I believe people truly deserve.
