The Ontario Orthopaedic Association is a not-for-profit organization formed in 1978. The Association represents over 90% of Orthopaedic surgeons practicing in Ontario. The Ontario Orthopaedic Association hosts an Annual General Meeting each November and is dedicated to maintaining high standards of Orthopaedic care in the province of Ontario. The Ontario Orthopaedic Association is not a referral agency. The Canada Health Act requires that any referrals to an orthopaedic surgeon must be made by a family physician. The Ontario Orthopaedic Association does not disclose private information about its members.
