This one came together a little differently than usual.

No complicated design.
No swirling.
Just a simple, steady pour… and a beautiful result.

Scented with Bulgarian lavender, rosemary, patchouli, and a touch of benzoin — it’s soft, grounding, and just a little bit herbal in the best way.

The color comes naturally from a strong alkanet infusion, giving it this muted, earthy lavender tone that feels calm and timeless.

Sometimes the simplest batches end up being the ones I love the most.

These photos take me right back to the beginning…

The early days of making soap on shelves, setting up at markets, labeling bottles by hand, and figuring things out as I went. It was simple, a little messy, and full of heart.

Lavender & Ladybugs officially turns 10 this year, and I honestly can’t believe how much has grown from those first moments.

This little business has changed a lot over the years… and so have I.

And lately, I’ve been feeling that shift again.

With a new space on the horizon, it feels like a new season is coming—not just for the business, but for me too.

Nothing is changing just yet…
but something new is slowly taking shape.

Scented with a beautiful combination of Bulgarian Lavender, Rosewood & Frankincense essential oils. This bar is one of my original recipes but the look has evolved over the years. 🎄 I’ll be honest…

It feels too soon to be talking about and planning for Christmas. I don’t have the “feeling” yet. That warm, fuzzy feeling when the ground is white and the air is crisp and the lights are twinkling…. Where is that feeling this year??

But with or without the *feeling*… preparations are still underway for our Annual Kick Off to Christmas 3 Day Sale… and for me, those preparations would not be complete unless I had my famous Lump of Coal Soap.

This year, I’ve decided to do the same soap that you love, but in a FULL SIZE BAR!!! 🎉🎉🎉

And to make it even more exciting, I made a DOUBLE BATCH! So I will have 80 bars available.

So even though it might not look or feel like Christmas yet, if you were to come to my house tonight it most definitely SMELLS like Christmas!!! 🥰

Our Lump of Coal is loaded with activated charcoal, and a generous blend of orange, peppermint, frankincense & cinnamon leaf oil… all the Christmas smells you could ask for!!

My customers love this bar and ask for it again and again.

🌿 Since our “life plate” is VERY full right now, I have been committed to making fan-favorite soaps with simple designs. In planning to make the Luxury Spa Bar again, I couldn’t help but wonder how this bar would look as a 3 colored swirl…

I really enjoyed the challenge of trying to make 3 different colored batches all at the exact same time. I’ve never done that before.

I use the Heat Transfer soap making method which is a huge time saver!! So I had 3 pots of oils melting at the same time for the first time ever. From the time I poured the hot lye into the pots of oils to the time I took the photo of the swirled tops, only took 40 minutes!! And I made 80 bars!!

I can hardly wait to see the cut of this one tomorrow afternoon!! Stay tuned!

This classic bar is a fan favorite and affectionately referred to by some as “Little Baby Jesus Soap” ❤️

Made with a blend of Frankincense, Myrrh, Benzoin & Cinnamon Leaf pure essential oils. This year’s version has a sprinkling of cinnamon powder in the batter and the addition of coconut milk powder.

This soap is one of my all time FAVORITE soaps!!!
