Although Black history should be recognized year-round as our shared history, Black History Month is a dedicated time for all Canadians to reflect and educate themselves on the achievements of the Black community, as well as the history of systemic oppression that continues today. It is a time to learn about and uplift Black changemakers, innovators, and leaders who continue to break barriers and drive progress. Together we can build a more equitable society that leaves no one behind.
