✨ Meet Jordana Wright, our new Donor Relations & Stewardship Officer! ✨

With nearly a decade of experience in donor relations, fundraising, and community development, Jordana brings a wealth of knowledge from her work across municipal, foundation, and grassroots sectors.

She also contributes on a national scale as a Board Member with the United Church of Canada Foundation, helping steward a $100M fund with a strong focus on equity and impact. Previously, she led a national social venture centred on community-driven place-making and resource development. 🌱

A graduate of both the University of Toronto and McGill University, Jordana is deeply committed to purpose-driven philanthropy, and it shows in everything she does.

This week, Let me be Frank. is celebrating the life and legacy of Tom Meridis, who owned and operated Midland Fish & Chips for 35 years. Tom’s kindness, humour, and generosity left a lasting mark on our community. 🧡

SEGBAY Chamber Golf Tournament celebrates 12 years with BIG impact! 🏌️‍♀️ 💙 ✨

This summer, 120 golfers came together at Oak Bay Golf Club for the Segbay Chamber of Commerce's 12th Annual Golf Tournament, raising an incredible $35,500 for local causes! Over the past 12 years, this event has generated more than $397,000 for our community, including over $290,000 for the GBGH Foundation.

This year’s $25,000 donation will support our annual "Kickstart Your Heart" campaign, investing in specialized surgical technology at GBGH to help patients access more procedures close to home and reduce wait times.

We’re so grateful to the SEGBAY Chamber of Commerce, Bell Media, and all the businesses, sponsors, and volunteers who make this tournament such a success year after year. Your commitment to local care truly makes a difference. 👏
