When GBGH Professional Practice Leader, Logan, met Courtney from Shine Studio at the GBGH Wellness Fair, it led to something simple but important.

Logan admits she doesn’t love calling to book appointments, which sometimes means putting them off longer than she should. But Shine Studio made it easy. She went online and booked for the same week.

No waiting. A bright, spa-like space. Complimentary little touches like under-eye patches and sunglasses that made the visit feel thoughtful and comfortable. And a dental cleaning so thorough, Logan says her teeth have never felt this clean. ✨🦷

Even better? Direct billing meant her appointment was fully covered, and her six-month follow-up was booked before she left.

Every year, more than 1,700 people come to Georgian Bay General Hospital in a mental health crisis. That's nearly three people every single day.

But our hospital isn’t funded or equipped to provide the acute mental health care they urgently need. When beds elsewhere are full, patients wait. On average, they are waiting 66 hours for admission to an acute mental health bed.

That wait can feel unbearable — for patients, families, and care teams alike.
