The happiest day of the year is BACK! 💛

On Wednesday, May 6, our local McDonald’s restaurants in Elmvale, Midland, and Midland Walmart are supporting the GBGH Foundation and Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) for McHappy Day!

This year, a portion of proceeds from ALL menu items sold will help bring a Fetal Health & Maternal Monitoring System to Georgian Bay General Hospital — strengthening care for moms and babies close to home.

One day. Three locations. A meaningful cause.

More than 1,700 people come to Georgian Bay General Hospital each year in a mental health crisis. That’s nearly three people every single day — turning to our hospital for help, often in their most vulnerable moments.

But without dedicated acute mental health services at GBGH, some patients have to wait days — in crisis — for a bed to become available at another hospital or facility in the region.

This is happening right here in North Simcoe. We can, and must, do better. 💙

For Kayla, those experiences didn’t just live in the past. They shaped her mental health journey in ways she didn’t always see coming.

Her story is one of strength, but also a reminder that mental health challenges don’t always look the way we expect. And when someone reaches out for help, it should be there.
