Lift her Up Sunday๐ฅ
I think everyone could use a dose of appreciation once in a while, and I also think that women need to practice lifting each other up in the seemingly normal moments of everyday life.
I've been thinking about this a lot lately, feeling into and sitting with the sister wound within me, allowing her to share from a place of vulnerability.
See, we all talk a great talk, and we are aware that we have wounds around being being seen and appreciated for who we are, but acting from a place of compassion and empathy can be challenging when our egos get triggered. There is always this pressure to be part of the majority and not challenge the general consensus. This can, and does, lead to micro-agressions and alienation.
For me, the true healing and growth take place when I can be strong enough to notice the quiet woman in the room. When I am able to stop my own story, and just listen. When I can be a loving counter to someone's negative self talk. When I can offer space instead of solutions or opinions.
We're all just doing the best we can. Our paths intersect, but each is beautifully unique. Women, as a collective, are learning to take up space, stand in knowing, and realize personal strength. And I think this is beautiful. I think it's necessary. And I think it will change the world.
So I invite you to tag a woman you know in the comments and let them know, not only how much you love them, but how much you see them and appreciate them.
And I send you so much love. No matter what you are doing, how your day is going, or how you're feeling, you're doing an amazing job. I see you, I honour you, and I hope that someone does something special for you today.
Happy Sunday, beautiful souls. See you in class.
