We get it… sometimes it feels like the pain is everywhere 😅

When your chiropractor says, “Tell me where it hurts,” and you’re tempted to just hand them a full-body map with sticky notes:

📍 Here
📍 Here
📍 Also here
📍 And definitely here

The good news? You don’t need office supplies to explain your aches and pains. That’s what a thorough assessment is for 😉

At ACT Physiotherapy & Health Services, we take the time to listen, assess properly, and figure out the why behind your pain — not just the “here.” Whether it’s one stubborn spot or a few too many to count, we’re here to help you move better and feel better.

If you’re feeling like a walking sticky note board, it might be time to book in.

Did you know physiotherapy has been around for thousands of years?

Long before modern clinics and advanced rehabilitation techniques, movement and water therapy were already being used to help people recover from injury and illness. As far back as 460 BC, Hippocrates — often called the “father of medicine” — used forms of manual therapy and hydrotherapy to support healing.

While techniques have evolved, the foundation remains the same:
✔️ Restore movement
✔️ Reduce pain
✔️ Improve function
✔️ Support long-term health

At ACT Physiotherapy & Health Services, we combine evidence-based modern treatment with hands-on techniques that have stood the test of time. From manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation to specialized treatments, our goal is always to help you move better and feel stronger.

Physiotherapy isn’t just about recovery — it’s about optimizing how your body functions every day.

If you’re dealing with pain, stiffness, or recovering from an injury, we’re here to help.

Book your assessment today and take the next step toward better movement. 💛

💃 Dance like no one is watching! 🕺

Turn up the music, let loose, and move in whatever way makes you happy. Dancing is great for your body, your mood, and your soul – whether it’s in the kitchen, at a wedding, or a full-on living room concert.

BUT… if your “killer dance moves” are actually killing your knees, hips, or back, we need to talk.

At ACT Physiotherapy & Health Services, we fix the aches and pains that happen when your spirit says “YES!” but your body says “absolutely not.” Whether you overdid it on the dance floor or threw out your back attempting the worm, we’ve got you covered.

Our goal? To keep you moving, grooving, and embarrassing your kids for many years to come.

So go ahead… dance like no one’s watching. And if something hurts, we’ve got your back (and knees, and ankles 😉).

"Random Acts of Kindness Day" is an unofficial observance that encourages people to engage in spontaneous, selfless acts of kindness to brighten someone's day. The day serves as a reminder of the positive impact small gestures can have on individuals and communities. Participants are encouraged to perform acts of kindness without any specific reason or expectation of reciprocation.

Some ideas for random acts of kindness include:

Paying for someone's coffee or meal.
Leaving an uplifting note for a friend, family member, or colleague.
Holding the door open for someone.
Complimenting a stranger.
Donating to a local charity or volunteering your time.
Helping a neighbor with a task or chore.
Sending a thoughtful text or message to someone you haven't spoken to in a while.
Planting a tree or flowers in a public space.
Offering your seat to someone on public transportation.
Leaving positive feedback or a compliment for a service provider.

Remember, the goal is to spread kindness and make a positive impact, no matter how small the gesture may be. Random Acts of Kindness Day is an opportunity for individuals to contribute to creating a more compassionate and considerate world.

Kids are always on the move – running, jumping, climbing, and growing faster than we can keep up! But growing feet don’t always grow perfectly straight.

Did you know custom orthotics can make a big difference for kids? As children grow, their feet and posture are constantly changing. Poor alignment or flat feet can lead to heel pain, knee discomfort, frequent tripping, or even trouble keeping up in sports.

Orthotics are designed to:
🦶 Supporting developing arches
🏃 Improving balance and coordination
💥 Reducing foot, knee, and leg pain
👣 Correcting walking and posture patterns
⚽ Helping kids stay active and comfortable
😀 Help kids stay active and confident

If your child complains of sore feet, avoids physical activity, or wears out shoes unevenly, it may be time for an assessment.

At ACT Physiotherapy & Health Services, we provide professional gait and foot assessments to determine if orthotics are right for your child. Healthy feet today mean healthier movement for years to come!

Happy Feet = Happy Kids! 👟✨

Happy Hug Day! 🤗

Did you know a simple hug can actually be good for your health? Hugs help reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and even give your immune system a little boost.

Physical touch releases oxytocin—the “feel-good” hormone—which promotes relaxation, happiness, and a sense of connection. That feeling of comfort and safety you get from a hug? It’s real, and it plays a powerful role in both mental and physical well-being.

At ACT Physiotherapy, we see every day how closely the body and mind are connected. Whether it’s a supportive hug from a loved one or hands-on care from your therapist, positive touch can help ease tension, calm the nervous system, and support healing.

So today, take a moment to share a hug, spread a little kindness, and enjoy the healthy benefits that come with it! 💙

Pelvic floor physiotherapy is becoming more well known—but there are still a lot of misconceptions out there. Let’s clear a few up 👇

MYTH: Pelvic floor physio is only for women after having a baby.
TRUTH: Pelvic floor therapy is for everyone—women, men, and people of all ages. It can help with bladder leakage, pelvic pain, constipation, low back pain, and even athletic performance.

MYTH: Leakage is just a normal part of aging.
TRUTH: Common does NOT mean normal. Issues like incontinence, pain, or prolapse are treatable with the right assessment and exercises.

MYTH: Doing Kegels will fix everything.
TRUTH: Not all pelvic floor problems are due to weakness. Some people actually need to learn how to relax their pelvic floor, not strengthen it. That’s why an individualized assessment matters.

MYTH: Pelvic floor physio is awkward and uncomfortable.
TRUTH: Sessions are always professional, respectful, and tailored to your comfort level. Education and external techniques are often a big part of treatment.

MYTH: You just have to live with pelvic pain.
TRUTH: Pelvic pain, painful in*******se, and bowel or bladder issues can improve significantly with proper physiotherapy care.

Your pelvic floor plays a huge role in how your body functions every day. If something doesn’t feel right, help is available—and you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Have questions? We’re here to help! 💙
