Why Acclimation Is Still Required — Even With Pre-Imaging Instructions

Although patients are given detailed preparation guidelines prior to their appointment, an in-clinic acclimation period remains essential for accurate thermographic imaging.
Pre-imaging instructions help minimize external thermal influences. However, once you arrive, your body must still stabilize within a controlled environment before images are captured.

Thermography measures subtle variations in skin temperature that reflect underlying vascular and metabolic activity. Even minor environmental changes — such as outdoor temperature, clothing pressure, or recent movement — can temporarily alter surface heat patterns.

For this reason, you will be escorted to a private imaging room and asked to disrobe from the waist up. You will then sit comfortably for approximately 15 minutes to allow:
• Skin temperature to equilibrate to the room
• Superficial blood flow to stabilize
• External compression effects (such as from bras or tight garments) to resolve
• Residual environmental heat exposure to normalize
This controlled acclimation process ensures that the thermal images reflect true physiological patterns rather than temporary external influences.

Pre-Imaging Preparation Guidelines.
To ensure accurate and clinically reliable results, please follow the instructions

(Applies to Breast, Cranial/Dental/Thyroid, Upper Body, Lower Body, and Full Body Imaging)

Lower Body Imaging. Lower Body Thermography is a non-invasive, radiation-free image designed to assess pain, inflammation, and circulation issues in the hips, legs, knees, ankles, and feet. By detecting heat patterns and vascular irregularities, this scan offers critical insight into conditions that may be missed by conventional imaging; especially in early or subclinical stages.

What We Assess

✔️Arthritis and joint inflammation
✔️Nerve damage or neuropathy
✔️Thrombosis and circulatory dysfunction
✔️Sports and soft tissue injuries
✔️Chronic pain in hips, knees, or feet
✔️Referred pain from spinal or muscular issues
✔️Diabetes-related vascular changes
✔️Post-surgical inflammation or complications

Our Mission: To bring non-invasive and scientific technology to the forefront of health care. To provide every woman with an opportunity of choice of monitoring her breast health.

We are a team comprised of dedicated health care providers, technologists and visionaries who understand that risk assessment and prevention is the key to providing quality care.

Saima Sheikh is the Clinic Director of Thermography Clinic Milton Inc. She is a certified Clinical Thermography Technician (CTT) with the Canadian Association of Clinical Thermography and completed her training at the Toronto Thermography Clinic Inc. under the direct training and supervision of Alexander Mostovoy, Board Certified Clinical Thermologist. As part of the women's health specialist industry, Saima offers women a non-invasive & pain-free technology that detects abnormalities in the body (mainly breasts) in their earliest stages. Thermography offers early risk assessment with zero radiation and no compression. She is passionate about her journey to wellness, especially breast health, and shares her experiences and knowledge with others as a speaker & breasthealth educator through workshops and at her clinic. Saima has made it her mission to bring this exciting technology to all women, “What is really exciting to me is that we can change the methods of assessing breast diseases by providing this incredible service offering an early warning (up to 10 years!). As women, we now have a “second line of defense” through breast thermography. I encourage women to take control of their own health, and stop the “wait for a lump” approach.

Saima knows the importance of risk assessment when it comes to assessing breast diseases, especially for someone like her, whose family has been touched by the disease, " Losing my grandmother to breast cancer at the age of 22 was difficult indeed." One finds some sort of peace when reminding themselves that although they will be missed, they did live a relatively good & long life. They were able to enjoy their grandchildren and even witness the birth of a great-grandson.
