As Child and Youth Care Workers, we work directly with children and adolescents who are experiencing challenges in their emotional and mental well-being. We support mental health and behavior through therapeutic interventions and a strength-based approach to promote empowerment.

We support children and youth through direct behavior intervention and behavior modification in the environment. Using a holistic approach and trauma-informed lens, we incorporate CBT frameworks and behavior modification. Our priority is to build therapeutic relationships based on trust, security, and empathy with our clients

✨️ In partnership with , we proud to bring kindness and connection to seniors this Valentine’s Day!

Many seniors experience isolation and loneliness, especially those living in retirement homes. These feelings can deeply impact their emotional well-being and sense of belonging.

This Valentine’s Day, we are creating 110 handmade Valentine’s cards for the residents of Birkdale Place Retirement in Milton.

Each card a simple act of love to remind them that they are seen, valued, and cared for.

Through compassion and community connection, we hope to bring warmth, joy, and a sense of belonging to every resident.

Small gestures can make a meaningful difference and help seniors feel less alone.

We’ve been loving pony bead crafts! They help calm anxiety, regulate the nervous system, and give kids such a big confidence boost when they complete their design.

In counselling, activities like this support mental health in a gentle but powerful way.
The repetitive motion creates a grounding rhythm that helps settle anxious thoughts, while the hands-on focus encourages mindfulness and emotional regulation.

Completing a craft also builds self-esteem, strengthens coping skills, and gives kids a meaningful sense of mastery.. all important parts of supporting their overall mental wellness. ✨
