Countryside Midwifery Services Countryside Midwives provide midwifery care to families in the Perth/Wellington/Huron regions, and s We are a large rural practice in South Western Ontario.

Midwives provide full prenatal care, labour and birth support, and postpartum care through 6 weeks. We are the home to 13 midwives, with 3 office locations to choose from (Milverton, Palmerston, Mount Forest)

We work out of 5 hospitals including; Louise Marshall (Mount Forest), Palmerston District, Listowel Memorial, Groves Memorial (Fergus), and Stratford General. Our clients also have the choice of birthplace including Homebirth, and Waterbirth. In Ontario, midwifery care is covered by the provincial government. This means that midwifery care itself has no charge for any client, whether or not they carry provincial health care coverage (OHIP), opt not to have OHIP, or are new to the country/province.

We are excited to be able to offer the birth suite as a safe option for our low risk midwifery clients. With the closure of many local hospital labour and delivery units, our aim is to keep birth in the community. If you are interested in making a donation, please send us a message!
