Let’s break the stigma, check in on one another, and start the conversation, because every voice matters. 🗣️💛

🌟 Kicking off the new year by reflecting on what makes CLM so special! Every January, we take a moment to revisit our mission, vision, and goals to ensure we’re all aligned on what it truly means to be part of this amazing community.

Our vision? A society where everyone belongs, is treated with equality, respect, and acceptance. A place where each person’s gifts, uniqueness, and value are celebrated, supported, and acknowledged, because every individual adds to the strength and heart of our community. 💛

We strive to live this vision every single day, and we couldn’t do it without you! Join us in celebrating what makes CLM such a welcoming and inspiring place. Let’s continue to grow together! 🌱

Braille Literacy Month is a time to recognize how access to braille opens doors to independence, confidence, and opportunity for people with developmental disabilities. 💙 From reading and writing to using technology and navigating the workplace, braille gives individuals the tools they need to communicate, learn, and thrive alongside their sighted peers. Everyone deserves access to information in a way that works for them, it’s not just a skill, it’s a right.

💬 Let’s keep the conversation going! Take a moment to learn more about braille, share this post, or tell us in the comments why accessibility matters to you.

Community is at the heart of everything we do 💙 And it doesn’t stop within our organization, it reaches across Manitoulin Island and the surrounding communities.

Because of our incredible individuals, families, staff, partners, and neighbours, our CLM community is what it is today. Community living is all about inspiring possibilities, not just within our homes and programs, but throughout our entire community.

On Manitoulin, community means more than simply coming together. It means inclusion, belonging, support, and independence, ****every single day.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us. 💫
