I am beyond proud to work with Ryan and Heather as they start their private practice counselling journey! Let me tell you a bit about each of them:

▪️Ryan Bell, LCT-C: Ryan offers online counselling to teens and adults all across NB. I had the privilege of working with Ryan during his counselling practicum, and I was impressed with his empathy, understanding of clients, caring nature, and professionalism. I highly recommend him as a counsellor!

▪️Heather MacDonald, RSW: Heather provides counselling in the Miramichi region specifically for children and teens. With years of experience as a Social Worker, including her recent role in the school system supporting youth, Heather has made a significant difference in the lives of her clients. Her extensive experience and compassionate nature make her an excellent counsellor, listener, and guide.

Happy to continue in sharing space and knowledge, Mackenzie 🤍 grateful you are continuing your private practice journey alongside us!

Our beautiful office, located at 1714 Water Street, Miramichi NB. I share this office with 5 incredible colleagues.

Not only did I complete my student practicum at this office with Pura Vida Counseling, but this building has a sentimental connection to my personal life.

Many years ago, my grandfather owned and operated his insurance practice at this very location. I feel honoured to own and operate my counselling practice here on Water St with his memory in mind 🌻

🔸 In addition to her Masters studies, she also obtained a Diploma in Professional Addiction Studies
🔸MacKenzie loves cooking, yoga, fitness, and reading crime novels
🔸 She always aims to develop genuine connections with each of her clients

🔸Ryan is a compassionate and warm counselling intern!
🔹When he's not seeing clients he is out playing boardgames with his friends and finding fun new recipes to cook with his partner, Jasmine. 🔸Ryan is a devoted dog dad to Parker and Stella.
🔹He enjoys connecting with his clients and giving them the space to be heard and seen.
🔸Ryan is passionate about providing effective and empathetic counselling services to clients in Miramichi and virtually throughout New Brunswick!

It is a pleasure to welcome intern MacKenzie Morehouse to Pura Vida.

MacKenzie completed her undergraduate degree from the University of Waterloo in Social Development studies with Honours. Additionally, MacKenzie has completed a Diploma in Professional Addiction Studies at McMaster University.

“As a practicum student, I am incredibly excited to begin my counselling journey working with clients. I am an advocate for mental health and self-care practices. I strive to create strong therapeutic relationships with each of my clients and create a safe, comfortable space. I was born and raised in Miramichi and look forward to working with clients from this beautiful city and surrounding areas. “

MacKenzie is now accepting new clients for May of 2023. Her fee is $50 plus tax per session.
