Hips/Core/Posture class today at 12:15-12:45 at Miramichi Physiotherapy! This is a FREE, low/no impact class focused on flexibility and gentle movement. All you need is a yoga mat and clothes you can move in!

Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:15-12:45 I will be offering a FREE flexibility/core strength/posture class at Miramichi Physiotherapy. This class is beginner friendly and will be low/no impact.
If you have ever struggled with low back pain, neck/shoulder pain or tension headaches, this class is perfect!
There are VERY limited spots available, with a maximum of four (4), due to the size of our space. The classes will be first come first serve.
The only things you need to bring are a yoga mat and clothes you can move in. Running/workout shoes are NOT required.

Looking forward to seeing some new faces next week!

I'm interested in running FREE (from next week until Christmas) flexibility/core strength/posture classes during the lunch hour here at Miramichi Physiotherapy in Douglastown. These classes would only be 30 minutes and most likely run from 12:15-12:45 two days per week. With Hockey and Football season in full swing, its a good time to talk about treatment for concussions. After working with elite hockey players for several years, treating multiple concussions and supervising return to play protocols, one of the best techniques I've been able to offer is CranioSacral Therapy. A very gentle and relaxing technique, CST can be used almost immediately and with almost anyone. This type of treatment isn't just reserved for sports injuries either, it can be used in treatment for falls, whiplash, headaches, anxiety, poor posture, and even migraines.

An August 2017 study of craniosacral therapy with professional football players (NFL and Canadian Football League) showed positive results. The players all had medically diagnosed post-concussion syndrome and showed "statistically greater improvements in pain intensity, orthopedic range of motion, memory, cognition, and sleep" after ten sessions of Craniosacral therapy (CST) combined with Visceral Manipulation (VM) and Neural Manipulation (NM).
