🌟 TEACHER SPOTLIGHT 🌟
Meet our radiant, Kat Burton!
Kat is one of those teachers who instantly lights up the room with her energy, compassion, and love for the practice. She’s powerful yet grounded, bringing equal parts strength and softness to every class she leads. Whether she’s guiding yoga or Pilates, Kat’s passion for movement and connection shines through in every moment.
Kat has been practicing yoga for the past decade but truly deepened her practice over the last few years. After recovering from pneumonia in the summer of 2023, yoga became her way back to movement and healing. That first moment of flowing again on her mat brought tears of gratitude — it was then she realized yoga had truly saved her life.
She began teaching shortly after, completing her PYC 200hr Teacher Training in April 2024 and has been teaching for about a year and a half at PYC Mississauga Lakeshore, sharing her passion through both Pilates and Yoga.
“For me, yoga is peace replacing chaos — healing replacing hurt. I teach because I want others to experience that same sense of freedom and calm that yoga gave me.”
Expect to connect with muscles you didn’t even know you had! Kat’s classes are filled with high energy, laughter, amazing music, and that signature feel-good burn. Every class leaves you feeling stronger, lighter, and fully alive.
Her favourite yoga pose is Sleeping Bear — a gentle inversion Kat calls “a full system reset.” It calms the nervous system, supports digestion and circulation, and reminds you to slow down — the perfect balance to her quick-paced flow.
