Announcing our first Insta Live to launch our new group workshop - healing attachment injury. ❤️‍🩹

Our therapist Eda Mucaj will draw attention to how do we mend the holes in the heart of an unfathered daughter.

This journey is intended for daughters who want to learn how to re-father themselves as adult daughters, particularly when their fathers, despite their best intentions, couldn’t fulfill all their needs for paternal attachment.

Join us on Monday Sept 6th at 12PM to learn more about the workshop.

Introducing/ Re-introducing to the founder of THE TRAUMA HEALING CENTER

Hello, my name is Rupika Sharma and I’m a registered psychotherapist. My journey into this work started fairly early with my sense of curiosity in understanding human behaviour, emotions and thought processes.

My post grad education was completed in India almost 21 years ago and I have worked in different dynamics of therapeutic work.

Upon immigration to Canada, I knew there’s so much more growth that I can envision. Restarted my school to fill the gap in my knowledge at the age of 37 with two young amazing children.

My spouse has been incredibly supportive during this journey, making my way towards self growth and self proclamation.

Lessons I learnt during this journey: determination and dedication. They serve the ability to persevere in whatever we want to achieve.

Knowing that intergenerational trauma can be immensely detrimental on our overall well-being, personality formation and world view; I use trauma informed lens to understand the dynamics that rule our trauma responses and facilitate the process of healing and growth.

I love what I do, because I constantly feel that healing is powerful and regaining the power is even more empowering.

The Story of Monday Blues 💙 💛

The first time I heard the term Monday Blues in early years of my career, I couldn’t really comprehend it, since growing up we looked up to Monday to go back to action with a prayer to Lord Shiva and gratitude practice that was meant to express a thanks for life and school or work.

Fast forward to a few years later, I read about the the origin of this term discovered by Dr. Arnall in 2004 for a travel company who asked him to create a “scientific formula” for January blues. It sadly got generalized to all the Mondays of the year.

The term is so widely used now that despite encouraging clients to start Mondays with gratitude is not registering well with many while some are having mild results. The conditioning is real folks.

This is increasingly becoming a defense by many instead of dealing with the real feeling. It is acting as a protector.

The purpose of this article is to bring attention to the real meaning of a two day break to rejuvenate and replenish your system before starting the week into full action and purpose. We all are deserving of a break when the week finishes and we all are needed to resume our duties after replenishing to nourish our physical and mental health 🙌

Give a thought!

Have a marvellous Monday and a magical week!!

Hello Queens! We are back with another self care practice.

Mark your calendar to make space for ME time at the women’s wellness circle at The Trauma Healing Center.

We would like to share a reflection made by a participant from last workshop in May- “I knew my body holds trauma but I didn’t knew where until I allowed my body to make space during the wellness circle. I express gratitude to myself to be able to convince myself to attend it and allow more awareness”.

Hey parents, you see your teenage child struggling to manage their emotions? Wondering how they’ll manage themselves with challenges of life? Curious how you can help them?

Adolescence brings a lot of challenges due to multiple transitions. As they are approaching summer break, use this time to help them to understand their emotions and it’s management.

The Trauma Healing Center is proud to announce our 8-week Emotions Education Program for teenagers between the ages of 13-18. The program starts on July 5th and the best part is that it’s offered in-person.

So what are you waiting for? To get more information and screening, contact us at info@rupikasharma.com

After the success of our first women’s wellness workshop- Blooming together, it is my pleasure to present next in series- Growing Together. ✨🌱🍀

Reviews from the first workshop has motivated me tremendously to design the next one with the goal to help women make healthier space for themselves and be able to regain the power and control in the game of emotional understanding and regulation.

We talked about embodiment of DIGNITY in the first one, we are going to talk about ACCEPTANCE in this one.
