Our gut flora is in constant communication with the rest of our body and when it’s flourishing, we feel great, look great and are resistant to disease

Not all supplements are created equally! Good quality supplements are extremely important in today’s day
If we’re under stress, eating a SAD diet, consuming alcohol, living in toxic environments, not moving enough
 a healthy diet will struggle to replenish everything we need to thrive, especially in the beginning of one’s health journey
Our soil isn’t what it used to be. Foods are being more and more nutrient depleted due to poor farming practices, big agriculture, GMO’s and chemical pesticides and herbicides- all which increases the need for supplementing the diet
While we’ll never “pill push” we do always include supplementation in our recommendations as they’re important for prevention and can also help improve all sorts of health conditions

HOLISTIC HEALTH ☀ đŸ§˜đŸŒ
There are many people who unaware, unwilling, uncertain about the natural ways of life! We live in a time where when we feel a bit off, we pop a pill. It’s easy and usually in the moment it helps. But this idea of popping a pill to feel better has lead us further and further from what we’ve known for thousands of years. They’re more like a band aid solutions that make certain companies and people a lot of money as opposed to finding the root cause as to why the body feels or is acting a certain way
Once we’ve realized this, we usually revert back to the natural ways of doing things - we avoid junk food, drink lots of water, exercise and prioritize a good nights sleep. These all make much more of a difference than we believe since they never actually taught us any of this
Many people have already and are currently reverting back to an ‘old way’ of living. The word “holistic” has become somewhat of a hot topic. It’s back on the rise
With KTN Holistic Health Coaching, we offer information that a typical medical doctor won’t tell you when you present your health concerns. We’ll provide drug-less ways for improving aswell as the info to back up what we recommend. We’ll help you manoeuvre through the plethora of health information and w**d out what’s poor advice versus what’s consistent

7 PILLARS FOR OPTIMAL HEALTH
When any other these pillars are imbalanced, we may feel physical suffering, mental and emotional suffering, it may affect our sleep or relationships, our goals, energy levels, diets and other daily habits
Sometimes the cause of a sore stomach isn’t always what you ate and sometimes the cause of a poor nights sleep isn’t because you went to bed too late
While eating junk food may cause a sore stomach, or going to bed late can disrupt sleep, that may not always be the root cause
Why did we eat the junk? Why did we go to bed late? These are questions we ask in order to get to the root of why we do things that hinder us. Maybe we’re bored, or stressed or have food cravings which is why we turn to the junk food. This means we must look to the other pillars to find the imbalances
Are we bored? Look at relationships we have (or don’t have) and environment we’re in. Are we stressed? Maybe we need some rest, healthier foods, to take a look at our spiritual stance or maybe we just need a 15 min walk
MY POINT: There are many aspects to our lives that we may not think intertwine. It’s not all about nutrition. It’s not all about lifting weights or running marathons. You can be healthy and buff but if you’re in bad relationships or lack a spiritual practice that helps clear the mind then you may still be suffering and never achieve true happiness. When we suffer emotionally it often manifests physically in the form of disease!
TO ADD: This can also be why seemingly healthy people still get sick with chronic disease. They have an imbalance somewhere within these 7 pillars and I believe in many cases, these people are overcompensating by eating healthy foods and ignoring, for example, the toxic relationship they’re in or the past traumas that haven’t been dealt with
All 7 pillars must be addressed ONLY if you want to live the most optimally healthy and happy life

1. Get rid of the pops, juices, Gatorade, red bull. They’re absolutely killer for blood sugar, hormones, gaining unhealthy body fat, they destroy the liver and cause imbalances in the gut microbiome. I suggest finding a good electrolyte powder like Re-Lyte or LMNT to add to distilled water or natural spring water
2. Wheat products and bread are cheap to make, relatively cheap to buy the food industry wants us loaded up on bread. Sugar makes us gain weight, not Fat. Industrialized wheat/bread is not the same as it once was. They add oils, thickeners, emulsifiers, preservatives and synthetic vitamins. Plus if it’s big brand bread it’s probably laced with glyphosate and other chemicals. Stick to fruits and veggies for carbs!
3. Pizza/Hot dogs are extremely processed! While there are healthy variations, unless it’s completely homemade, the alternatives are probably just as bad. Try making a hearty chilli on game night and if you NEED bread, make a fresh sourdough and don’t over do it.
4. Pastries are also bread products but usually have a much higher sugar and fat content. Fat and Sugar together is man made and it’s extremely addictive. If we start off our days with a muffin, doughnut, bagel and butter, expected a anxious, hungry and irritable day. If you need a snack look to fruits, nuts and seeds
5. No soy for boys. Soy for women can also be a problem if over eaten leading to mood imbalances and inconsistent menstrual cycles. Soy mimics one of our s*x hormones, estrogen which can lead to unwanted side effects in both s*xes. Best to limit soy or say no!
6. Deli meats contain known carcinogens and like hot dogs/pizza, eating them is like throwing gas on the fire of inflammation. They destroy the gut and may lead to “leaky-gut”. Source out grass-fed, wild caught and pastured proteins
7. Alcohol- do I even need to talk about this one? Replace with kombucha!
8. Processed Dairy is allergy city! If you can source unpasteurized dairy, do it. Otherwise Kefir, Coconut Kefir are the best options
9. Deep Fried = Brain and Gut destroyer. There are some many other ways to cook food! Slowly & lightly is healthiest
10. Seed oils = đŸš©. Coconut/Olive/ Avo Only!
