🏆 Our Work on Ethical AI Wins 2nd Place at the Ontario Psychological Association Awards 💛🤖✨

I am so excited to share that our research poster: “Psychology and technology behind safer online spaces” was recognized by the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA) and received Second Place Poster Finalist. 🏆
This recognition means a lot and I am very proud of my amazing team of youth advisors that worked for months on this research project:
Eden Thomas, Yaqi Huang, Mikolaj Antczak
Undoubtedly, further research on ethical use of AI in psychology is essential to ensure that our tool is ethical, effective and secure.

🚀 What an energizing evening at Together Toronto (organized by TechTO ) at MaRS Discovery District.

I had the opportunity to step into the spotlight and in just 10 seconds pitch Felixa: a next-generation platform blending behavioral science and AI to create safer online communities.

Huge thanks to everyone I met tonight who shared their insights, left thoughtful comments, and opened doors to new collaborations. I’m especially looking forward to connecting with potential tech partners, investors, and researchers who are just as committed to digital wellbeing + ethical innovation.

🌿 We’re honoured to share some exciting news!

Our research poster has been selected as a finalist for presentation at the 78th Annual Ontario Psychological Association Conference (OPA 2025).
This project explores how closely AI and LLM align with human understanding of emotional tone in online conversations. Our results show a strong correlation between AI and human evaluations.

This is a promising indication that AI can be used to support and protect people by helping them identifying early signs of hostility or distress in digital spaces, and reducing the emotional strain on those who monitor them.
We believe that AI tools, such as Felixa, can act as a supportive companion, alerting people to potential risks and making their work safer, more efficient, and less emotionally draining.

At , we’re building ethically and every feature is grounded in research, transparency, and scientific validation to ensure our tools are reliable, responsible, and safe for everyone.

Many thanks to the team for your hard work, great insights and dedication. Eden Thomas Mikolaj Antczak Yaqi Huang

We look forward to sharing more at OPA 2025 and continuing the dialogue on responsible, human-centred innovation.

This weekend I had the honour of speaking at the Montreal conference organized by the Polish School Council (Polska Rada Szkolna w Montrealu), hosted at Lakeside Academy.

My talk focused on bilingualism as a superpower — shaping identity, attention, perspective-switching, and emotional resilience. In a multicultural world, language is more than communication; it is cognitive coding and belonging.
Whether in classrooms or online — words shape identity.

Thank you to the organizers and community for creating space for this powerful conversation.
