With a record number of COVID-19 patients in Ontario's intensive care units and its highest-ever rate of new cases in schools, Premier Doug Ford announced a province-wide lockdown today.

⏰ The lockdown is scheduled to start at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, April 3, and will remain in effect for four weeks.

👉 Indoor dining at restaurants, personal care services such as hair salons, and indoor fitness activities are to be prohibited
👉 Essential retail outlets such as grocery stores are to be limited to 50 per cent of their full capacity, while non-essential retail outlets can allow customers inside to a maximum of 25 per cent of capacity, precisely the same as the current rules for lockdown zones.
👉 Construction is permitted and religious services can take place, but with some capacity limits.

✅ Check the Fit
Choose a face shield that wraps around the sides of your face and extends below your chin or a hooded face shield. These types of face shields are better at preventing spray of respiratory droplets.

✅ Wash your hands
Always wash your hands after removing the face shield.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth when removing it.

✅ Disinfect
Clean and disinfect reusable face shields according to the manufacturer’s instructions. If you use a disposable face shield, wear it once and throw it away according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Yes, one is a foam head and the other is a human BUT - more importantly, you'll notice the ShieldGuard face shield wraps around the head securely covering the ENTIRE face while the one on the right does not.

Be wary of low-quality face shields!

Always, always always make sure your face shield provides sufficient coverage. Some generic shields only cover the mouth and nose leaving the eyes exposed. Full coverage is key!

Look for one that is “sealed at the top” onto a visor and wraps around the sides of your face to your ears, The bottom of the shield should extend below the chin.

Lockdown fatigue is a real thing.

We've all experienced its effects at some point or another during this pandemic. It can be draining, frustrating, and tough on your mental health. That's why it is so crucial to find ways to keep yourself balanced and entertained during this tough time. 🧘

📆 Keeping a daily routine is one of the best ways to maintain some sort of normalcy and structure to your day.
