Thank you to everyone who attended, including some very special visitors who helped shape the organizationโ€™s early years.

Behind this statistic are real people navigating invisible injuries.

IPV and ABI is a critical intersection that canโ€™t be overlooked especially within healthcare, social services, and the justice system.

Survivors deserve supports that recognize the full scope of their experience. Be part of the shift. Share this post and support our efforts to bring brain injury into the conversation around intimate partner violence.

Nick embodies this mindset every single time he steps into the ring with and their team. His determination and passion really show us what it means to keep moving forward after an ABI.

Twenty eight years. Thatโ€™s how long Jim has been proving that a brain injury doesnโ€™t write your ending.

In 1998, a motorcycle accident left Jim legally blind with a traumatic brain injury. But his story was never about what he lost. โ€œPart of my brain doesnโ€™t accept that I have an injury,โ€ he says. Maybe thatโ€™s just Jim refusing to let the hardest thing that happened to him become the only thing about him.

Today, he still plays a mean game of pool, beats his buddies at Crayy Eights, and turns to the Blues when things get heavy.

For 25 years, Mind Forward has been in Jimโ€™s corner. And Jim keeps showing us what it means to live well, not just survive.
