C is for Communication.
Communication is more than just speaking. It includes understanding, processing, expressing thoughts, reading social cues, and finding the right words at the right time.
After an ABI, communication can change. Someone may struggle to follow conversations, find the words they want to say, respond quickly, or express emotions clearly. These challenges are often invisible but can affect relationships, confidence, and daily life.
With patience, understanding, and the right supports, communication can improve. Giving people time, listening without rushing, and meeting them where they are makes a meaningful difference.
How we communicate matters.
