Butterfly Paediatric Therapy

Butterfly Paediatric Therapy is a private therapy clinic for children in need of Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Language Pathology services.

Butterfly is an organization that is passionate about its children, their families and their communities. Butterfly strives to become a centre of excellence combining clinical care, research and continuing education. Butterfly ascribes to best practice philosophies including the promotion of parent-child interactions and a supportive environment for families. In keeping with family centred care, parents are ultimately advocates and decision makers for their child. Each discipline will offer a standardized initial assessment followed by an individualized treatment plan. Physiotherapists working at Butterfly have advanced training in Cuevas Medek Exercises (CME), Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT), Kinesiotaping, Functional Strength Training, and Gait Training. The Occupational Therapists at Butterfly are very familiar with the Hand Writing Without Tears program and have advanced training in Sensory Processing and Feeding. The Speech Language Pathologist working at Butterfly is experienced using the Hanen® program, PROMPT as well as DIR®/Floortime™ and RDI® [Relationship Development Intervention] (both for the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders). Although each and every one of the therapists at Butterfly have special interests, they draw from training and experience in all areas in order to provide an eclectic approach to treatment that best meets the needs and responses of each child.

Whether you’re brand new or just curious to try something different, this program is a great way to learn, connect, and have fun.
