3 things I would never do as someone who’s worked in plastic surgery for the past ten years:

👉 Travel abroad for plastic surgery just to get a deal.

The good surgeons around the world are typically just as expensive as the good ones here in Canada. When it comes to surgery, cost-cutting can cost you more in the long run and not just in a financial sense!

👉 Leave my injector because my last Botox or filler treatment wasn’t perfect.

If something was off or didn’t meet your expectations in your last treatment, let the clinic know! There is an art and a science to Botox and filler, and your muscles and tissue can be a little different every time we see you. A good clinic will work with you to adjust your dosage and refine your treatment plan.

If you’re concerned about safety or consistently receiving substandard care, that’s a totally different story. But don’t switch clinics just because your forehead was a little too frozen last time, or your lip filler didn’t last as long.

Surgery day with 🍒

She came in for her breast augmentation in the morning and by the afternoon she was already home in bed, resting up. We take pride in how quick and mostly painless this process can be for majority of our patients, with most back to light daily activities within a week, with a full recovery around the 6 week mark.

Pre-op 101 with as she gets ready for her breast augmentation 🍒

Ever wonder why we ask for "no glam" on surgery day? It’s not just a suggestion. Every rule is there to keep you safe in the OR:

✨ Fake nails/nail polish: Surgeons use a pulse oximeter on your finger to monitor oxygen levels. Polish or acrylics block the light sensor and can give false readings.

✨ Fake tan/self tanner: Anaesthetists and surgeons monitor your skin colour to check circulation and oxygen. Tan can mask cyanosis (that blue/grey tint that signals something's wrong).

✨ Lash extensions & strip lashes: During surgery your eyes are often taped shut to protect them. Extensions can cause corneal damage or make it impossible to seal the eye properly.

✨ Makeup & skincare: Sterile field requirements. Product residue near the surgical site increases infection risk.

✨ Jewellery & piercings: Metal conducts electricity from surgical equipment and can cause burns.

2 months post-op with ✨

A facelift should refresh you, not redefine you.

This patient always felt her neck and jawline lacked definition, something that became more pronounced with age. The goal was not to overfill or overpull, but to restore structure and create natural, elegant contours.

She underwent a face and neck lift with facial fat grafting to address laxity and volume loss. At just 2 months post-op, her jawline is noticeably sharper, her neck contour more refined, and the transition from her cheeks to her jawline beautifully smooth.

You can also see her incision sites around the ears at 2 months. They are still pink, which is completely normal at this stage, and will continue to fade and soften over the coming months.

There’s nothing better than seeing that confidence shine through once healing is complete. New shape, balanced proportions, and results that look natural and feel like you.

We know the excitement kicks in fast. Vacations get booked. Swimsuits get ordered. But proper healing always comes first.

After surgery:
🌊 Baths, swimming pools, hot tubs, and saunas should be avoided until your surgeon clears you.
🌊 For most patients, that means waiting several weeks, often around one month, before fully submerging incisions.

Protecting your incisions early on supports optimal healing and helps ensure the best long-term result.

And when you are cleared for that sun-filled holiday, don’t forget SPF, especially on surgical scars. UV exposure can cause hyperpigmentation and affect how scars mature. Protection now means better scar quality later.

1 month post-op revision arm lift ✨

Not all arm lifts are created equal.

This patient previously underwent a short scar arm lift with a transverse scar hidden in the armpit. While that technique can work in very select cases, it does not address circumferential skin excess and often results in limited improvement.

In her case, loose and wrinkled skin remained most noticeable when her arms were at her sides, particularly near the armpit. To properly correct this, she required a revision using a longitudinal excision to remove the circumferential excess.

Now, at just 1 month post-op, there is no loose skin adjacent to the armpit and the transition from chest to arm is significantly sharper and more defined, especially when the arm is lifted away from the body.

She has an L-shaped scar, which is expected with this technique. It will continue to lighten, and become more inconspicuous over the first year.
